I just had a terrible lunch, not the first time the food at St Albans diner has been marginal. I ordered the lunch fish special with fries and coleslaw it was as I understood a pc of haddock battered with cheese and tomato on top the plate was 65% over cooked fries plus 2 ozs of watery coleslaw (half a... My husband and I came here for breakfast and we were quite disappointed. The service was poor. We waited a long time for anyone to even greet us and then waited even longer to get drinks and it was not all that busy. Our food came cold and was very bland and items like the bacon were very over cooked.... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Canada. the food is well prepared and there is a large variety of choices. The menu is extensive and this place is frequented by local residents.. the wait staff is attentive and the portions quite large. It is worth trying

This Diner is well located North of the city along US Route 7. Stopped here for lunch and discovered great food. The roast beef sandwich and Vegetable beef soup I would rate as very good. All their soups are home made and the roast beef carved on the premises. The Diner is very spacious, neat and clean. The serving staff... More

Our orders were wrong and our fries were cold. The staff stood around the end of the counter chatting instead of checking on customers. On the upside the place was clean.

It was a rainy afternoon their internet went down 3 times but didn't effect the meal. As an out of state person adventuring on route 7 to Colchester, my sister and I stopped for a late lunch. The grilled cheese sandwich, fries and coffee were just what I needed to ease the dampness

I have been to this diner before. I don't remember it being this bad. Again I came for breakfast. It was bad. The eggs were fine but the potatoes and the paper-thin bacon were awful. It is only breakfast how any restaurant can murder breakfast is beyond me. I likely won't go back.

Rarely do I ever have a bad experience in a local eatery, but this morning's breakfast at the St. Albans Diner was excruciatingly disappointing. It took over an hour from when we placed our order to when our order arrived -- with 'sunny side up' eggs being the most complicated piece! It wasn't even that the place was packed --... More

I had stopped coming to this restaurant after a very unsavory meal but am glad we returned. The food and service have dramatically improved. The menu selection is extensive and the food is delicious. I am so happy for the improvement and am happily spreading the word. They are extremely accomodating no matter how busy they are. I highly recommend... More
