my kids are amazed at the variety offered in small country stores in New England. Food, sandwiches to go, great meats, bait, licenses guns and ammo, wine and liquor and household needs. oh and clothing and boots. what more could you want from one little store?

This is yet another classic example of an old time general store with a healthy mix of new and old. Was glad we decided to stop for a drink and a snack.

Singleston's--whisky, guns, and ammo is their motto. You will feel like you travel back in time when you go here. They have a little bit of everything. And the best bacon in the world!

We popped in for a quick look.. it's got everything you might need, groceries, wine, spirits, clothes, shoes, boots, cheese, and a butchers counter. We enjoyed looking around.

We often stop and buy the smoked pepperoni. The have an interest decor. There are antique guns up everywhere. They sell some clothing and other nonfood items. I love the smoked pork chops here. They also sell hard liquor but no lottery can be had here......... go figure. I would recommend you stop here. It is worth seeing. They also... More

We had to stop and visit a place with a Whiskey, Guns and Ammo sign on the outside of the store. Items are a little pricey, but the homemade sandwiches at the deli are not expensive & very delicious...Fresh and made to order...Many selections to choose from...Highly recommended

We stop at Singleton's every time we are in Proctorsville and pick up dinner from their meat counter. They carry all our Vermont favorites.
