Stopped for an afternoon snack. The treat was OK as was the coffee...but expected more style and flavor. Disappointed!

This is a place where you can get a quick lunch. They have excellent half a sandwich with cookies and soup. It is run by the students at NECI and the desserts are excellent.

You really can't make a bad choice here. While I haven't had their coffee, their baked goods are consistently excellent quality. Lunch bag or half-bags are a great deal and include a sandwich, soup/salad and a cookie. Always good choices and variety and a great place to stop if you didn't have time to make dessert for your dinner party.... More

I had both breakfast and lunch here many times during my stay in Montpelier and the sandwiches and salads are very good. They have espresso and drip coffees as well as many different kinds of tea. The pastries and breads are very good and the prices aren't bad either.

We got a capucino and mocha for breakfast. Both were very good, altho served a bit cool. Should ask for extra hot.

I've been going here for quite a while. It's a good spot to grab a cup of coffee and meet with someone, personally or professionally. The food is quite good though the menu is limited. At times it's very busy and, of course, Montpelier parking can be a challenge.

My experience with La Brioche, a New England Culinary Institute bakery and cafe, is having lunch there over the course of many years. My wife and I have never been disappointed. Typically, there are 3 sandwich selections, usually including one vegetarian, posted on a chalk board. There are also salad and soup selections. Of course, then you can select desert... More

This is by far one of the best places to get a danish or croissant or whatever on the way to breakfast of whatever.

Admittedly this review is based on only one product as that is all I had there, but this bakery was average. I tried the chocolate croissant and found it denser and the texture tougher than I expected especially considering this is a bakery for the culinary school.
