We were in Middlebury for a weekend getaway and went to Fire & Ice for dinner on the night we arrived. For the first time ever on a weekend visit like this we went back for a second night. It was that good! They offer an extensive salad bar that includes shrimp, sushi and even carrot cake. The Steak Scampi... More

Never disappointed when we make a trip to Fire and Ice. The salad bar is top notch, and worth adding to any meal, or appetizer. We love coming at lunch time on the weekend when they have hot items on the salad bar.

Fire and Ice offers a huge salad bar in an old boat as a focal point of the restaurant. With a variety of themed rooms (college room, library, train car), there's a wealth of history to enjoy during your meal. With the elaborate salad bar and extensive menu of delectable steaks, seafood, and lighter fare, Fire and Ice offers a... More

We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the wide variety at the salad bar, plus a large well-prepared tuna appetizer. The atmosphere is best described as an old wooden lodge for outdoorsman, yet not too rustic. A good place for families, friends and picky eaters (pretty good variety on the menu).

Been their a few times, never anything special- staff is good. Lots of junk on the walls to take your mind off the very average food. Over priced --- ehhh

You could make a meal off the salad alone. Food and service was good. I had the fettuccini with chicken and my friend had a burger. Both were outstanding.

This restaurant had a very unique atmosphere. There were a number of different rooms and each one was decorated beautifully and differently. Even the restrooms were decorated. 4 of us went into the ladies room and it took forever for us to come out because everything on the walls was so interesting. The food was very good, although I think... More

This is a very comfy restaurant with lots of history on the walls - we enjoyed the huge salad bar with fresh bread, shrimp cocktail and fresh chocolate milk! My daughter had scallops and they were really good! They were very busy and the wait staff was running all over the place but was very attentive to us! Would definitely... More

we sat next to the salad bar today, around 230pm--granted it's not lunch time but the waitress was cold as ice and not only that she continued to fill the salad bar with ice for the ENTIRE TIME we were there...it was so loud...the whole place was empty pretty much except for us and everytime we tried to talk she... It was a pleasure to be able to go out to a nice restaurant while being a part of the Whole 30 program. The waitress was really helpful and considerate with my requests and substitutions to keep close to on tract. That salad bar is almost worth the trip all on it's own. Thanks, we will be back and still... More
