I am always pleasantly surprised by a new locally sourced menu item (keep in mind I don't eat red meat and I'm gluten free...) This place is friendly and inviting.

This place is always improving. The Mexican night is so good. Try the lamb burger on any day. Local food with great local beer.

a great local pub and meeting ground. the food is good, mostly the atmosphere is that of a local watering hole.. all ages are welcome. one often runs into neighbors and acquaintances here; it is very relaxed wit lots of local programs and musicians and such. a gift to the town.

I ordered the New York Sirloin Strip Steak which had veins of fat and gristle throughout. It was very hard and chewy and not tender, but clearly a cheap piece of meat. The vegetables which they labeled "greens" turned out to be overcooked spinach and was very soggy. Even the twice baked potatoes weren't that great. My husband's salmon was... More

Our B&B hosts recommended the Public House. It didn't disappoint. We had starters of spicy chicken wings with dry rub and coconut shrimp both of which were excellent. Mains of a special jambalaya and Caesar salad were also good. Fair choice of locally sourced draft beers on offer and a well informed waitress to guide you through the selection.

The Hinesburgh Public House delivered on an exquisite dining experience. The seafood special was the Seafood Cioppino which was a dish full of fresh seafood including scallops, crab, mussles, clams, haddock and halibut in a tasty tomato fennel broth. Highly recommended this dish for seafood lovers.

Afraid we'd be forced to endure the usual dark, gloomy, pub-foody scene but finding nothing else shy of a drive to Burlington, we sought out "The Public House" from our remote farm B & B in the middle of nowhere. Surprise! Nothing like the local pub in either fare or atmosphere. Nice bright atmosphere with high ceilings and a fairly... More

I've been here a few times. They had a special of a Shelburne Farms rib eye. It was okay but I've had better. It was a pretty small cut for $28. It came with a baked potato and a few sautéed onions. I consider the onions a garnish and not a vegetable. It does not come with a side salad... More
