We've been driving by this place for years and finally decided to stop in this past Saturday. What a pleasant surprise! The place is clean and nest, the waitstaff is friendly and professional, and the menu was extensive. And most importantly, the food is yummy! We will be back!

We had lunch: BLT and a grilled pastrami sandwich, though it was tempting to have 2nd breakfast. Delicious and accompanied by some seriously tasty seasoned fries! The servers were lovely and the coffee was especially tasty. We had a beautiful view of the river!

First visit since ownership change. Food continues to be good. Main difference is renovations have made it much warmer in winter!

This place went under a major renovation a year or so back, and this was our first visit since the overhaul. They have created a great dining space that compliments their good food. A definite spot for breakfast or lunch whenever you'r traveling Route 15. We'll make it a point to come back. Food is homemade, portions are generous, and... More

The Village Restaurant had gotten pretty sad a few years ago and I quit going. Then, new owners bought it and remodeled to take advantage of the riverside location. They revamped the menu and made the place so inviting that I go for breakfast 2 or 3 times a week. My husband goes even more often! This is truly a... More

I am at a loss to read the excellent and very good reviews for this place. The experience my husband and I encountered was very different indeed. As we walked in it was obvious that the red haired waitress was clearly completely stressed out by the lunchtime crowd & unable to deal with it literally running around like a bat... More

We were looking for a local café for breakfast, and the Village Restaurant fit the bill perfectly. We got a booth overlooking a stream with the trees sporting gorgeous fall colors. The food is down-home cooking. Again, just what we wanted. It's on the corner of Main Street and a highway, so don't think too long before going there as... More

Great food, extremely friendly staff, constant attention and frequent coffee refills. Simply nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very impressed.

We stopped by for a late lunch while enjoying the fall foliage. The "diner" is spotless, attractive, and we had a very good lunch. Our sandwiches were packed with meat, the bread delicious and the made from scratch french fries were yummy. The onion rings weren't too shabby either. Servings were generous and fairly priced.
