We were a group of 14 there for a special family event. Not one single person enjoyed their meal. The only good food anyone spoke of was the bread prior to dinner. Opt for the restaurant at the Dorset instead (same owners different chef).

My wife and I had dinner at Barrows House Restaurant on Halloween night 2017 and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the Barrows House is a beautiful and romantic setting.

We really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Our B&B owner recommended it and we are so glad. The truffle popcorn, beet and cheese salad, homemade pasta noodles and the bacon jam on the burger were all favorites!

The Barrows House has a very extensive menu and delicious food. Outdoor seating in the summer. It is owned by the Dorset Inn and so has an excellent reputation. The wait staff is very helpful!

The food was ok, nothing special. the outside ambiance with the fire pit and open green space was quite nice. the inside ok. if you're in dorset, it's barrow house or sister property the dorset inn, so you're limited with dinner choices. accepting this, it's...More
