Three Stones serves only a few dishes, but they are all authentic to the traditions of Mayan cuisine. This is very different from the typical Mexican food we most often consume. You won't get chips and salsa at Three Stones. Mayan food is characterized by the use of corn masa entrees, most notably the tamal (or tamales). Our group of... More

Great food. Limited menu. Wonderful owners. This is a go-to restaurant for me. I only wish they served meatless tamales more often because they are fantastic!

You definitely need a reservation for this great place. They make their own hot sauces and can serve a "flight" of sauces that are well worth it ! Fresh ingredients are the key.

We just had dinner at Three Stones. The food is tasty, and the atmosphere is festive. It is not an extensive menu, although what they serve is consistently good.

All four of us enjoyed our (vegetarian) dishes at this authentic Mayan-Mexican restaurant. The service was prompt and attentive, the prices reasonable, and the ambience pleasant and unpretentious. The only negative was that they had run out of Mexican hot chocolate!

Three Stones was simply superb food and good service. So unusual to find an authentic Mayan restaurant in a Vermont town! If you think it will be something like TexMex, then be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. It is much more nuanced and the flavour combinations are delightful. Turkey is the staple meat in Mayan cooking, we were told, so... More

This is my favorite restaurant in town. It is family owned and when you eat there you feel like you are part of the family. I have had dinner here numerous times and have never had a bad meal.

Went for an early dinner without a reservation (two people); no problem. Excellent server who went out-of-her-way to provide information. Interesting menu; we chose two entrees that were (unless they use lard in their beans) vegan. Interesting flavors, with a salad included on the plate that was outstanding. Would rate it higher, but two vege-based platters, one beer, and a... More

The food is authentic and clearly made with love and care. Only fresh ingredients, simple and excellent preparations. Try all three versions of the superb handmade tortillas (uah). I liked the pork the best, but the ground beef and chicken were also superb. If the Mayan/Mexican fusion isn't enough, see if you can't detect a little Korean influence ! The... More
