So many things to choose. It's impossible for someone in your group not to be satisfied. While there isn't table service the food is excellent. Great for take out or a quick bite. It's right off the exit or right before you jump on 91. Go go go it's great.

Everything is very "vermont". Local cheese, maple syrup, great coffee. The prepared food is like soul food, meets hippie food. Try the "Meat Cupcake" and the Mac and Cheese. The sandwiches are reasonably healthy. Somewhere to eat would be nice, but we usually go after snowboarding on the way home.

We found the Vermont Country Deli on Trip Advisor and decided to stop for a bite to eat. So glad we did. Their food was fabulous! Had a terrific sandwich, Mac n cheese n the chili. Wow! On all 3. The Mac n cheese had sausage n onion in it which added to an already great tasting dish. The chili... More

We stopped here because we saw good reviews and wanted to try someplace new for lunch on our drive through Vermont route 9. We were a little disappointed that there was no place to sit and enjoy our sandwiches and giant cookies. It was raining and we ended up finding a place to park and ate in the car. They... More

I went to school in Vermont, and had to drive past the Deli to get to and from home. I now go back several times a year and (luckily) still have to drive past the Deli. It is a pit stop I look forward to every single time. The sandwiches here are amazing (the Thanksgiving one is my personal favorite),... More

Great place to grab lunch or souvenirs. Covered bridge is 100 yards away. So many choices of food it is hard to decide. I suggest getting MANY of the smaller sizes and sharing.

Amazing aromas of homemade pies and cookies envelop you upon walking through the front door...we ordered sandwiches to go which were wonderful! Other hot dish options are available. Very friendly staff!

Fun place. So much to choose from. Had to try the mac & cheese and pulled pork and of course a slice of apple pie. Mac & cheese is to die for - couldn't wait to get back to hotel to try it. Definitely worth the stop.

This deli is a popular stop for travelers and locals alike. Wonderful sandwiches freshly made any way you like. Many choices of breads, including gluten-free. Great variety of freshly made salads and sides, both hot and cold. Great variety of baked goods. Cookies as big as your head, seriously! While this place is small, they are efficient and quick. We... We love the Vermont Country Deli and have been stopping by here for 25+ years to savor the yummy treats, stacked deli sandwiches, and out-of-this world hot and cold prepared food items. The baked goods will make you drool. It can be busy and parking can be a challenge, but they have recently expanded into a second building right next... More
