So, we researched staying in someplace unusual versus the usual downtown of Ogden. We selected the Alaskan Inn primarily because there was a restaurant within walking distance. The Gray Cliffs is a little hard to peg - a pretty upscale menu in a comfortable and somewhat formal roadside establishment. The decor reminds us of rural french hotel restaurants. The food... More

As many other reviews have stated the location is "quaint". It is an old home that was converted into a restaurant. All I can say is that when I eat out, especially at a place with prices like this (in all fairness, the price does include dessert, which I normally don't order), I don't ever expect to get canned fruit... A group of friends enjoyed dinner on a Friday evening. Very accommodating reservation process and friendly staff. Service was very good. Food was good. Salmon bisque was outstanding. Entrees were good, maybe not great but good enough that we'll be back. Dessert was very good. Old, well established restaurant in a nice location up Ogden Canyon.

My wife and I ordered the Prime Rib, it was delicious, perfectly cooked and outstanding taste, very comparable to Timber Mine. You have to order the oatmeal pie, and homemade icecream. Wow. We even ordered a pie to take home. Love this place

We had dinner here and we thought the staff was great, ambiance nice and the ski museum fun. However, it was like stepping into the 1970's dining experience. All of the sides were very dated. They served cinnamon rolls for dinner along with white rolls. It shows its Mormon roots with lots of sweets. The soup was glutinous and tasteless,... More

We so enjoyed our homey meal at the Gray Cliff Lodge. The restaurant was decorated very old style with plates your grandma would have had. It had a real charm about it. The food was exceptionally good and included a fruit cup, soup or salad, your entree and desert. We tried the fresh founder and chicken, which were both tasty.... More

Had several members of my med school class get together and invited them to the Gray Cliff lodge. My wife and I had been multiple times in the past, but they were very impressed. Great menu, great service, nice location up Ogden canyon. Their senior menu is great; I can really recommend this establishment and know you will not be... More

When you open the door to this old time lodge you are hit with the overwhelming smell of cinnamon buns cooking. What a welcome. Our meals came with the options of a starter, salad, main and choices of dessert plus a unlimited supply of the scrumptious buns. I order the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection and served... More
