Stopped by this mountainous restaurant right at lunch time. It was a beautiful fall day so we decided to sit outside over looking the Ogden river with a fall colored background . The waiters were right there after being seated, drinks served almost immediately. A large selection on the menu, wife and I both decided on the Soup and Salad.... More

I've probably eaten a Nebraska cornfield worth of nachos and these were the best I've ever had. The salsa and veggies were fresh, even the jalapeños were fresh. We washed them down with a pair of milkshakes that were the perfect compliment to cool down those peppers. It didn't hurt that we were sitting outside by the stream watching a... More

Driving through Ogden Canyon and ready for lunch. Saw this little place and lots of cars. That made us stop. Ate outside and enjoyed being surrounded by nature, river, and mountains. It was good american food and filling. The onion rings were awesome!! Would recommend this place for great food and atmosphere!!

The Oaks is another historical restaurant in the Ogden Valley. It is located on the river in Ogden Canyon and in the summer there is outdoor seating by the river. The food is excellent although the service can be somewhat slow. (Not a big deal if you are not in a hurry and you enjoy the outdoors).Their coffee is always... More

We drove by this place around 2pm in the middle of June and stopped to check it out. The outside tables are very close to this babbling brook against a mountain side. We returned for dinner when the temperature had dropped about 15 deg from Ogden City's 101deg. The staff is super friendly. Even the ones that were not serving... More

We met family members for a get-together. We ate outside and was it chilly! But the atmosphere was anything but chilly. Excellent service was provided by the wait-people! They were all friendly and took good care of us. Ogden Canyon is a wonderful place. It was very pretty when we were up there with the Ogden River flowing merrily along.... More

The Oaks is a great place to eat if you really love being outdoors and close to nature. The deck along the the river, the towering trees and the stunning canyon walls are worth the trip. The food is not extraordinary but our salads were quite good and we were able to order a nice glass of wine while we... More
