This was supposed to be a well known super duper restaurant. Well, apparently things have gone awry. Very disappointing.

What in the heck happened to one of our most beloved landmarks in Southeast Texas!?!?! My company has offices in Houston and Beaumont and when we want to chew the business fat we like to meet in Winnie and Al-T's is right off I-10 and...More

After a day of shopping at Winnie Trade Days we decided to go to Al T's for lunch. The waitress was great and very attentive to our tea, bread and cracklings since we waited approx 45 minutes to get our food. We had three different...More

We have eaten here several times and it is very consistent. Food and service are always great. Seafood and gumbo are always delicious.

The staff is amazing! We had perfect service. They were friendly and kept our bread and drinks filled. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and my husband ordered the catfish. We both sampled a little of each and everything was great! Traveling as much as we...More

Tasty, noisy, middling priced. It was well attended, easy parking right out front. Twenty-odd minute wait, we looked at the menus & knew just what we wanted when our party was seated. Our waitress was pleasant, courteous & busy! but we didn't feel rushed. Between...More

I hate having to give this 2/5 because the food was very good, but after seating our party and we waited 1.5 hours to get it, constantly had to go to the bar to ask where our drinks and tea refills were, and then to...More

We travel I-10 frequently and always plan a stop at Al-T's for some delicious food! We made that stop today and were gravely disapponted!! The buffet is gone, the menu is smaller, and old favorites are gone and forgotten! We ALWAYS order the boudain nuggets...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Was in this great restaurant this afternoon in time for buffet (this was a first). I got the small. THEY serve your plate! I have had gastric surgery and was unable to eat all my food. I asked for a container but was told I could not take home if got buffet?? I did not serve myself--they did!! Had there been a sign stating "no take home food from buffet", I would have chosen to order from the menu!! Knowing I could not complete my meal, I would have been able to take home "leftovers!" Could certainly understand this "rule" IF WE SERVED OURSELVES!! Many would overload their plates JUST to take home leftovers! 1) had water, not tea, 2) had no dessert-- both of which came with the buffet! Something should be changed, even if it's putting up a BIG sign!! Food was very good, just sad I couldn't bring home!! I also returned $10.00 that was given to me in my change that was not correct! Everyone is human! Sure I'll be back, but not to the buffet!

They set their own rules. The rules don't seem to be posted so they can be modified at the managers whim.
