Food was really good. Is a buffet type of restaurant. You can also order from the menu. We really enjoyed the different choices of German food.

It's definitely a little off the beaten path and the service can be a little slow but the food is absolutely wonderful. We've eaten here a few times and have always left with a full stomach and satisfied taste buds.
My wife and I went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had the lunch buffet. The food was OK, but not great, warm but not hot. At $12.99 a person it was not a great buy. Tables in the dining room are very long. There are no tables for small parties like 2 to 4 people. The beer... More
Worst schnitzel I have ever had! Breading is flour and not breadcrumbs! Not pounded out. The spatzel has no flavor! And that is after putting salt and gravy on it! Waiter very nice but he is not the cook! Come for beer and music but skip the food!
I brought my kids out here for lunch on a Sunday, we were hoping to catch some Oktoberfest fun but apparently they do that on Fridays and Saturdays. Walburg is a reasonable drive from Austin or Waco, aside from time spent on I-35 it's a pleasant drive. The restaurant itself is much larger than it looks from outside, and inside... More
If you're seeking Michelin stars, this might not be the place for you. However, if you enjoy a fun time with comfort food and delicious beer in a unique atmosphere, Walburg Restaurant is well worth the scenic drive. The night we went, the entertainment was superb. The Women of Walburg, four local female singer-songwriters, were featured - and I was... More
We had been wanting to visit this place for such a long time and finally did! So wish we had gone sooner. Great service great food!! We skipped the buffet and ordered off the menu and the wife and I enjoyed every bite! If you're in the area don't miss it.
We first learned of the Walburg German Restaurant in the March '17 issue of Texas Highways magazine. It was a bit of a drive for us, but it was well worth the time it took us to get there. Excellent German food and the Walburg Boys Band was outstanding. We went on a Saturday night. We made reservations through their... More
We loved this place, old rustic german style atmosphere, german buffet with a sample of almost everything on menu on fri, sat and Sunday.
We went at a slightly awkward time between lunch and dinner on a Saturday afternoon. The buffet or al la Carte option was nice and the Jaegerschnitzel was delicious as was the sayer kraut and red cabbage. It looks like it would be an awesome place to watch the live band and relax with family and friends in a real... More

I was there in a group of 7 people and the waitress said they do not split checks and it's better if you all have cash than credit cards. We were all shocked, we were not told this when we made the reservation. If this is true you should tell people so they can plan accordingly.
