The first thing we noticed was that there was only 1 other person in the dining room....maybe they do a good take-out business. The second thing we noticed was that the place was really dated; it really could use a facelift. Also, the service was slow & the food didn't look fresh. We won't be eating there again.

Service is HORRIBLE, there was only one waitress and she never went from table to table to check on her customers. I saw several people get up to get thier check so they could leave. We ended up being the last table and the girl never checked on us but rather sat at the front corner table by the kitchen... More

Try the yellow curry and coconut soup. These dishes will keep you coming back for more. The staff are all friendly, the prices are great. The parking lot is small, but somehow it works.

They are always busy at lunch and that's a good sign! They can take a bit longer when busy but it's worth it! Food is always fresh. I am a wuss when it comes to spicy food but I can order it at any level from 1-10. I usually stick with 1. LOL. Also, I am not a big fan... More

AhhMazing fresh and Delishisness. Is a Hole in the wall, but I must say the food was extremely good. Salad rolls, Mongolian Beef, Drunken noodles and my FAVORITE THE YELLOW CURRY, that you can adjust the spiciness according to your liking. This is a must try place for sure.....

Came here with a friend looking for some good Southeast Asian food. We weren't disappointed! I had the eggplant curry - super good! Thai tea wasn't the best I've ever had, so I'd skip it. Spring rolls were delish, and my friend's beef coconut curry was out of this world!

We stopped here for lunch on the way to a meeting. I trust TripAdvisor to not lead me astray, and I don't think that's the case here, either. However, I was very disappointed with the service. I'll chalk it up as a one-off, but I'll likely not go back. The food was really good, so it helped alleviate the slow... More

Small scale, hole in the wall place in Texas City. Great food. Best Asian food in town. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Always good, never disappointed.

After reading other positive reviews, I decided to visit Basil House. It was great. It's a hole in the wall restaurant, a bit gloomy looking, but don't let that stop you. Though this is a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, they have some other Asian cuisine favorites on the menu. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, extra spicy, with brown rice. Served before the... More

Inexpensive Vietnam restaurant serving delicious food! Never a big crowd which is a shame because it's so good!
