Best in Texas. Sausage kolache, cream cheese, cherry, peach, apricot...doesn't matter what you choose, they are all good. They also have a great meat market. Breakfast sausage is amazing. Can't go wrong.

Great little place to eat. We shared two of the smoked sausage plates and an order of onion rings between 3 of us. The sausage was delicious and came with the most delicious mashed potatoes, excellent green beans and some of the best German sauerkraut I have ever eaten. I enjoyed every bite. The adjoining shop is worth a stop.... More
In Temple for State Archery Tournament & wanted to try a local restaurant for dinner. Green's is about 15 minutes from the hotel, but an easy drive, and was worth it! Sausage burger with kraut was delicious, Chicken Fried Steak came with (2) patties - perfect for a hungry teenager. Shiner on tap served in extra frosty mugs!! Topped it... More
We stop by here every time we're in Texas. We always carry back home about 20 pounds of their awesome smoked sausage. And their Kolaches are pretty darn good too. Great little store/restaurant/butcher shop. A little off the beaten path but worth the detour.
We haven't been to Green's in awhile and we decided to go Saturday afternoon. We arrived around a little after 5 o'clock and my wife and I both ordered a hamburger basket. I didn't realized that they closed at 5:30. We did get our food and gulped it down. We wanted buy some bacon and barbque chickens and did before... More
Green's is a restaurant, country store, and meat processing facility. I usually come for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is excellent and so is lunch. The breakfast burger and the kraut burger are definitely something to try if you stop in.
My family drives 45 minute just to eat here. The sausage burgers are like nothing I've ever had and i don't like kraut but theres is wonderful. We always stock up sausage and beef sticks but only because there so far out of the way for us.
Try their kraut sausage burger it is excellent. You can not go wrong here. Nice little place , friendly service and exceptional food!
I have been going to Green's since I was a kid (way back in the 70's) and they have the best of everything--kolaches, hamburgers, homemade cookies, goods inside the store, everything is just wonderful! :)
