I am a Taylor native, living in Houston for the past 37 years, and I've been getting the best baked goods in Texas at the Kolache Shoppe (it was Bill-Mar back in the day) since I was not much more than a gleam in my Daddy's eye! The ladies than own and operate the place are as sweet as their... More

By far the best kolachies around, family secret recipe, family owned and run. Saturday they have doughnuts and they are delish, my favorite.

This family- run bakery has been putting out incredible goodies for at least the 30 years I have visited. Top notch kolaches, the best apple strudel ever, delicious coffee cakes, creme cakes, gingerbread, wedding cookies, cinnamon rolls to die for, oatmeal lace cookies, and other treats like you WISH your grandma had made ! Lovely ladies with warm hearts. Irene... More

Stopped in and got an assortment of kolaches, breads and sweets while my brother was in town for Willie's Fourth of July picnic and really enjoyed their homemade treats! I have been back several times and they treat you like family and are very nice! You'll feel welcome, too

Although I no longer live in Taylor, every time I visit I make a trip to the Kolache Shoppe. I have had Kolaches in many different shops in different states and my favorites are on 4th Street in Taylor. They are all good, but I go for the cottage cheese and pineapple flavors first. The cookies are also delicious, and... More

They win all the awards, but get half the attention of the guys located on Interstate 35. My favorites are cherry and peach kolaches, but they've also got all of the traditional Czech flavers like prune and poppyseed. Authentic, sweet kolaches that are consistently voted best in Texas. At the holidays they make an incredible pumpkin roll, too. These are... More
