Went for lunch to see the difference to the one in Brownsville. Very rustic ambiente but top notch service, nice portions and tons of flavor. The food is served in and on paper plates and bowl but that adds to the experience .. The Ceveice was great and for sure the blackened red fish is something you have to try... More

A simple paper plate type of place with outstanding food. I had the fish oyster combo and it was excellent. Oysters were small but tasty. Service was friendly and good. Will definitely return.

I have been a loyal visitor to Dirty Al's for peel and eat shrimp for many years, but my last visit will probably be my last. I had been looking forward to this treat since I arrived a few weeks ago,but what a disappointment! The price had gone from $16 a pound to $22 a pound, but I was willing to... More

We stayed within walking distance and were delighted to find this jewel so close! We went every other day or so for lunch and dinner and were never dissatisfied. The gulf shrimp and the calamari are the best I've ever tasted. The servers are all wonderful, George the manager is a real hoot and the prices are reasonable. Two thumbs... More

Great service. AMAZING food. Good prices. Minimal ambience. This is a fun place to go with the family. The staff is engaging and helpful. Take a minute to at least read the hysterical T-shirts or buy several!

We go to Dirty Al's for the Grilled Shrimp K-bobs and blackened zucchini. The teenagers usually order fried fish baskets - always a good choice. Don't go to Dirty Al's if you are looking for a fancy restaurant!

The menu hasn't changed much. It's okay if you need to fill up a lot of people. The family orders are popular as they serve 6-8 for aroutdoor 50$

A supposed seafood sensation. I don't like seafood, in fact, when they told me that old it just tastes like chicken, I stopped liking chicken. So why would I bother to both go , and then to review? My wife loves seafood. There is fishy A"s on the south end of the Island, but go across the bridge right on... More

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
