We didn't plan on eating here but we had to stop parasailing for an hour as rain passed so we just settled to eat here. Food was decent, nothing magnificent and pretty small portions for the cost. I don't know that we'd come back and...More

If you want expertly prepared large fried shrimp this is the place to go. The inside of the restaurant is not real fancy but the service and food is good. There are a number of seafood dishes but I prefer the Shrimp. It does get...More

They brag they have the best fried shrimp and they are not kidding. The wait was about 30 minutes on a busy Saturday night. The shrimp was well worth it. Best tasting shrimp ever.

Great food and great service! Had a drink called the painkiller which was wonderful. Best blackened fish I've ever had and the boiled shrimp was huge!

Thank you very much for your review. I am so glad Anabelle was able to take care of you and it sounds like George helped you at the seafood market. On your next trip down from Colorado, we hope that you come visit us again.

Very good food. Relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel you are on vacation. The freshness of the shrimp and the fish are very good too. I wish they had better cutlery (more expensive plastic or metal), other than that, the location is good and near...More

Trash on the floor and bathrooms with out soap and paper towels. Food is always good but they've gotten to big and not able to keep up with the amount of people.

We have a cleaning schedule but it seems that we need to make a tighter schedule during peak season in order to ensure the clean environment we strive for our customers. We appreciate your review and look forward to serving you again.

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
