It was a short drive from our hotel, to the beach to eat here, there was no wait and it was totally worth it. What an intresting experiance it was! A 30$ for 3 was a deal. Highly recommended. Good food. Would comback.

The bar on 2nd floor has nightly specials. Thursday night was 1/2 rack ribs, fries and cold slaw. The ribs literally fall of the bone. They are so tender and tasty. The fries were cooked perfectly and were not greasy. Small portion of cole slaw...but excellent flavor. The wait staff were all friendly and attentive. We will be back again!More

Not good....spent almost $300 for 6 people for the buffet, totally not worth it. Food wasn’t good…well, the pineapple was pretty tasty.

We didn't get the exact thing we ordered -- blackened shrimp tacos -- but what we did get was very good. (We got baja tacos, I think.) The marg was $12, which was about a buck less than the three shrimp tacos, so be aware...of that before going. We walked from our condo down the beach to eat here and, miraculously, had no wait, so it was totally worth it.More

We have eaten here in the past and always come for the seafood buffet. Be prepared to pay high cost for the buffet and come hungry, but a great stop while out on vacation.

We all know that place that was once super awesome and was a sure fire hit with everyone but now is just a sad shadow of its former glory. That is the best way to describe Louies Backyard. It really wants to be a great...seafood restaurant that is the go to spot on the island but just can’t seem to shed its “college days” and grow up.! The inside air conditioned dining needs a major overhaul, new flooring, new seating etc. Whilst the outdoor dining is in desperate need of a way to keep its customers at least cool. We had the buffet. On every website (including their own) and on every piece of marketing material we saw (including at the visitors bureau) they advertised the price of the buffet at $25. However, at the restaurant they stated the price was $35. I understand it was 4th July weekend but a sign out front or something to let me know the new “holiday weekend only” price was in effect would have been nice. The really sad part is that the items listed on the normal $25 buffet were exactly the same items listed on the $35 holiday weekend price. The buffet itself was really just “ok” it had a small salad bar, a few fried and grilled options. No vegetables all starches, potato salad and Mac and cheese. It did have what they called prime rib and (previously frozen)snow crab, even though they advertised King Crab but who would know the difference right. The only bright spots include the servers and the view of the sunset on the bayside. Everything else was just mediocre at best. They have a whole entire floor above the restaurant that is their club. It had wide open spaces for dancing and two cash only bars to cater to a thinned out younger crowd. It was my first and last time coming to the restaurant. I am sure it’s a hit during Spring Break but they have the potential to be great year round and not just for one week or a a few weekends out of the year.More

It’s not worth to come over here! The prices for this seafood buffet is ridiculous for what you get. This place is dirty, the bathrooms are SUPER dirty, they can’t buy fans for the outdoor seatings area.........The only thing okay here was the macaroni &...cheese and crab legs. I don’t even know how this place has 4 stars. Look at Yelp reviews please! I wouldn’t coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE.More

My wife and I drove 4 hours to get to SPI and went to Louie’s for a much needed cold beer, margarita and lunch after the drive. Waited for 15 minutes and no one came to take our drink order and left. We WON’T be...back!More

I was pretty disappointed with this place. It wasn’t terrible or even bad it just wasn’t what I was expecting. The food was great once we got it an hour and a half later. It wasn’t the best though. The restrooms were completely out of...everything and disgusting, but when I told someone they took care of it almost immediately. We didn’t get our appetizers until we got the rest of the food which is always a bummer! The waiter was running all over the place, but was pretty attentive. All in all it was just ok.More

You know I am not sure. We go south in the winter. Most of the vendors there are very pet friendly. If your pet is well behaved I’m sure it may not be a problem. There is much outdoor seating.
