My family and I visited this place for the first time during Spring Break 2018. We found the food to be delicious and the atmosphere inviting. I ordered a beer sampler and enjoyed all of their brews except for the porter as porters and stouts...More

This is a restaurant with many beer choices & a range of medium priced food entrees. The raw oysters are lovely - very clean and a “happy hour” special- .50 per. Also delightful is the tuna (shishimi) salad. The service was great.

Ate dinner here and wasn’t disappointed. Got the beer sampler and was amazed at how much comes in that! The poboy sandwich wasn’t the greatest but all the rest of the food was awesome!

My wife and I enjoyed the sampler and hamburgers. This place is a craft beer joint that serves food. The beer is the star. The food that we had was good pub food.

Try the beer tasting (five 6 oz. glasses) to sample what this place has to offer. We had fried shrimp and the steak, which were both good. Appetizer special was interesting as it included deep fried artichoke hearts.

We took our baby granddaughter there with our family, however, I do not recommend going upstairs when you do that. It smells heavily of cigarette smoke........ we made them find us a table downstairs.

"The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." From Texas Highways Magazine, June 2015
