Ok let me start off by saying this place is great on the weekends there might be a wait but it is worth it. Just to confirm that my wife and I just moved to Alabama and when I come to the area I get a supply of demand soup to take back with me this time it's 6 because... More

Everyone we have taken has found something they like. You can go there craving regional Texas - get the Shrimp Diablo. Craving Asian? Seafood soup. Traditional fried seafood? Get the platter with fish and shrimp. Salad type? you can find it there, too. It is not a huge place, so be patient. Can have a drink or two while waiting.... More

We went to Austin to visit friends and they insisted on us going to Deckhand Oyster Bar. Deckhand may have found its place in my top five seafood restaurants. The portions, the taste, atmosphere and the service were all right on que. There was a little bit of a wait, but what good establishment does not have one. Definitely try... More

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch featuring dozen oysters with kick bootay horseradish and red sauce for $15.99. The fresh spring roll is 2 per serving with option to add shrimp for a mere $4.99 total. It is so big, I brought one home for lunch the next day. It is served with a good peanut sauce. My husband really enjoyed... More

My husband and I have been going here for years. The seafood is the best we have ever had. I recommend the gumbo and salt and pepper shrimp. Delicious! Casual and fun atmosphere.

Very good for a casual seafood restaurant. Oysters were great, gumbo pretty good, atmosphere a little weird. La Frontera Oyster plate is awesome, as is the squeeze bottle of mystery sauce on the table.

For shellfish lovers, this is definitely a destination. Impressive selection of FRESH oysters, mussels, and often crayfish. As well as meat dishes. Some served up fish house style, some with a creative Thai flair. All delicious. We shared a half dozen oysters on the half shell (fresh, cold and delicious), followed by a crayfish boil (included crayfish, corn and sausage).... More
