Came in on a cold drizzly and overcast day to a warm and inviting atmosphere. The coffee was fresh tasting and good and hot. Breakfast was superb and eggs cooked just right and as ordered. Service could not have been better. I was considering the buttermilk pancakes I saw at table to my right, but decided to go with biscuits... More

I was looking for a good place to grab breakfast with my family. The reviews of this place looked promising so we decided to come here. It was a very good decision. I had the country fried steak and eggs. The steak was great, the biscuits are phenomenal, and there was more food than I could eat (which is saying... More

A clean kitchen is vital to great food. If your kitchen isn't sanitary, nor is the food served from. You be the judge of this place. Hint: Look under the stove then decide if you want food :) Just an observation. Buyer beware.

We have enjoyed breakfast at the Route 66 restaurant several times. We always look forward to it. Breakfast being our favorite meal, we like it all to be cooked "just right" -- and it always is. The service is excellent too, and they are always busy. It is all GOOD! A busy restaurant is good way to know it is... More

My husband and I have been here 5-6 times this year and took our niece yesterday. She got a hamburger and piping hot fries which she really liked. My husband and I both got breakfast. The cook does a nice job with fried eggs and they stock rye bread (my favorite). We are routinely pleased with the service and food... More

For Sunday breakfast we found Route 66 Diner in Rockwall to be a great place for family. Though the place was full we only had a few minutes wait. Though the seats were a bit tight, our servers had a warm drawl and made us all feel welcome. As she poured the delicious coffee she asked what we wanted and... More

This is one of the few breakfast restaurants in Rockwall; wish they had more choices in the way of places that serve breakfast in Rockwall. It is so needed. Good food, good service, good prices. It looks like a little country restaurant and the folks there are very friendly.

I've been a couple of times and the food is very standard restaurant service delivery fare, but on my last visit I sat so long waiting on service (at 10% full) that I walked out and no one seemed to notice. You can do much better for breakfast and most any chain in Rockwall.

On a Saturday morning a 10 minute wait isn't too bad. Once seated, drink orders came quick. Food ordered when drinks arrived. Food arrived hot and just as ordered. Biscuits were awesome! This is kind of a nostalgic place with lots of photos from the fifties. Great comfort food breakfast, will definitely be back.
