I regularly visit Japan since 1979 and became accustomed to eating only Japanese food during my stay in Kobe, Tokyo and other regions of the country. I loved routinely eating "raw fish" way before sushi became acceptable mainstream food in North America. The Japanese chef at Sushi Sake made me feel I was transported to Japan! To be fair, I... I frequent this restaurant often when I travel to Richardson. The Sushi is very good. Service is good. It's off of the main road a bit secluded but it is a popular place and often gets crowded (because it is so good)

Hands down the best sushi I have found in Dallas. Fresh food, good drinks, attractive atmosphere. Try sushi of the day off of the board. Nice selection of sake and beer.

Driving to the place, is on a dark street that does not seem like it is going to be a good place.. but boy, I was wrong ! This place has great Japanese food. Very fresh, really well made by authentic Japanese people/style. The price is not cheap, but not crazy expensive either.. no roll more than $17 I had... More

I last visited Sushi-sake many years ago and for some reason had not returned. Now that my son is interested in food other than chicken a french fries, we decided to make a return visit. It was every bit as good as I remembered, maybe more so. Really excellent sushi and sashimi, lively atmosphere and great variety of sakes. We... More

I love this restaurant. Be prepared for a little wait. The food is amazing. Nice atmosphere too. It actually reminds me of eating in Japan.

Dined solo at the sushi bar for lunch. They do have a lunch menu and bento box specials. Their sushi is always fresh and expertly prepared. Their menu items are very good also. Try the scallop appetizer-delicious.

If you like sushi and you are near Richardson then DO COME here. I arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday and was able to get a seat at the sushi bar, which apparently is not common without a wait (this was just before Thanksgiving). By non-Texas sushi restaurant standards this place is massive... I counted 6 or 7 sushi chefs... More

I have been going here for over 3 years and it is consistently great! Atmosphere is traditionally authentic. If you have a larger group book the back room for a authentic Japanese experience. A must go for anyone new or visiting Dallas.
