We go to Roosevelts every summer. The food is always great but this year the service was poor. We had to ask if we could order since about 20 minutes went by from when we were seated and there was only one other couple there....More

We were walking around and spotted this place off the main drag. A hand written sign said Now opened for Breakfast. It look intriguing so we took the bait. It's an older building with a veranda facing a courtyard. Kind of quaint. Would be a...More

What an interesting place to dine. I did not know what to expect when we selected this restaurant from the description online. My expectations were far exceeded. The restaurant is part of the Tarpon Inn an old hotel in Port Aransas where Roosevelt used to...More

Roosevelt's at the Tarpon Inn was named after President Theodore Roosevelt, who visited the Port Aransas back in 1937. Interestingly, Roosevelt is the only person awarded both the Medal of Honor and the Nobel Peace Prize. He was also a life member of the NRA....More

We make it a point to eat at Roosevelt's every trip, even if we don't stay at the Tarpon Inn. Consistently wonderful. Our visit this trip we enjoyed the tenderloin. Cooked perfectly. The martinis were cold and the dessert was the best key lime pie...More

Don't be fooled by the "Fine Dining " at Roosevelt's. This restaurant lacks in every direction. It has awful seafood, terrible service and a dark gloomy ambiance. The waitress over sold the chef, who was actually just a cook. The $42.00 Fish entrée was burned...More

The Roosevelt is a smallish place, so reservations may be a good idea. Classy but not overly fussy settings. The food was very well done; the snapper was cooked to perfection and served with a nice buttery sauce The grouper was a shade dry, but...More

Haven't been here in a couple years & thought it would be a good choice for my birthday and it was. But, I let out an oh no as soon as I saw that the door was propped open; omg, the A/C was broke! And...More

This restaurant has a long history in the area. The interior is updated but reminiscent of older days of elegance. The fish was o.k. The mixed plate of quail, lamb, and duck was outstanding. Don't order the red wine, they serve it cold.

Fine dining island style! Reservations are encouraged especially during the summer months. Try the baguette, it's amazing

I don't believe they will prepare your own fish. I understand that they have a new Chef so there are sure to be menu changes.
