Located north of New Braunfels in the historic district of Gruene about two miles west of the I-35 freeway via State Highway 306 (hard to find, particularly at night), the one-of-kind GRAPEVINE TEXAS WINE BAR offers complimentary wine tastings of three of their wines in a rustic indoor (sophisticated) and outdoor (western) setting complete with lights, misters, and musical entertainment.... I have been here a couple times. I especially like it when someone is performing outside. I like to go with the girls and enjoy the music. Its a good time for girls night out or even date night. There is seating but bring your chairs or a blanket if you would like.

Cudos to both Brandon and Conner for their wonderful hospitality and enthusiasm. They knew their wines, but what most impressed was their friendly and engaging personalities. They were interesting and inquisitive, never pushy, and most helpful. (Phone ran out of charge and they allowed me to plug in, leave their business and return later.) The wine pairing with cheese plate... More

Love this place! It's close to home and always a nice crowd. Always fun to stop by after work for a couple glasses of vino. Staff is usually friendly and willing to help pick out something special. Really enjoy this place when they have live music out under the trees. Pretty good wines as well!

Sat out a thunderstorm in this great wine bar while enjoying a really good glass of wine. They have tastings, both free and paid. Sit inside or out.

It's not a really big space and can get quite busy on weekends. However, the people are friendly and try to accommodate you as quickly as possible. If it's a nice day, which in Texas you get lots of those, I recommend you take your wine and sit outdoors. They have a nice outdoor area under the trees and sometimes... More

Knowledgeable staff and many different wines available from different wineries. Prices are not cheap but you can get some good vintages. Tastings are available and the staff know their Texan wines. A three pack is available in a hard cardboard carrying box

The Grapevine is a great place to hang with family and friends. The outside seating is first come first serve. There is no waitstaff; you order inside and take your drinks outside. In cooler weather, the fire pits are great. Most weekends, I believe that they have live music.

Thank Scott S
