Ate here on a VERY BUSY Friday evening but received our orders surprisingly fast. The server was helpful and attentive and the food was delicious.

We came to visit a old friend, and it has been some time past but I remember coming to this little place with all the interesting décor, and yes it is still there. Just as you get to the brick road in downtown Nacogdoches, and head toward the railroad tracks, look for the shack building with a will full of... More

If you're looking for good hand battered onion rings, Clear Springs is the place to go. Their Chicken Fried Steaks and greenbeans is amazing too. I love taking new visitors (to our town) to eat here because of the old pictures and posters hanging on the walls and the train runs right beside the building. It's just a really neat... More

Came across the restaurant as we came into town and we were glad we stopped. Great atmosphere. A welcoming and attentive staff. And great seafood.

Decided to try it based on other reviews. Saturday evening a little before 7:00 there was a 20 minute wait to be seated - in the bar. About six minutes to be acknowledged by the waitress; the bartender came out, took my drink order and brought my tea. When my order was placed, the kitchen was super quick - and... More

Lunch special was good...plenty of food. We were disappointed or my husband was that his seafood platter no longer on menu. He got oysters, shrimp, crayfish tails though. I don't eat any form of fish/ seafood so I get chicken strips. Variety of menu options now. Prices typical. Didn't like seating - bar area so music was loud. Table sticky....but... More

We were seated immediately on a Sunday morning. Got our beverages right away and the appetizer soon followed. Fried pickles were great. Food came out hot and was filling. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be coming back.

This is the place to eat if you find yourself in Nacogdoches TX. They have a variety of items to order from. Nice family atmosphere. Fried onions seem to be the local fav. Can't go wrong here for traditional food. Their ribs was a little on the burnt side and rather dry...not as tender as you would think.
