Phil's Roadhouse was established in 2005 by the late Phil Philipello. Cooking was Phil's passion, and he wanted to build a family restaurant where anyone could come for great food and great service. From mouth-watering BBQ that falls off the bone, to hand cut meats and delectable chicken and shrimp dishes, Phil prided himself on all his fresh made-from-scratch recipes. Great local restuarant

Very low key rustic local place. Enjoyed lunch on a Sunday. Food was as ordered and large portions. Wait staff was short handed, so service was a bit slow that day.

Excellent Food and Service

Excellent food, above average service. All of the fried appetizers are really great. The onion rings are some of the best ever. I had the ribs...excellent....cheese curds, fried jalapenos....all great. Definitely great for carryout. Everything stayed nice a crisp until we were home. Will definitely...be backMore

Great Place for Lunch, Dinner & Drinks

First Class Service from Ms. Taylor over this pass weekend, w Great food ( Chicken Fried Steak is a most try and is served in large portions!!!!

Never again

Yuck! Went in for family Christmas dinner. My husband and I ordered steak, it was overcooked, thin, no seasonings and tough! Someone ordered chicken fried steak, they cut into it and the meat completely broke apart from the breading, and the steak in it was...also very thin. They charged more than Texas roadhouse for a tenth of the quality. The waitress was dismissive and uninterested in providing service to us. We will not be back.More

What A Great Place!

Oh my gosh, this place has the best chicken and sausage gumbo I've eaten! Went back a second time for the gumbo, still just as good. Got to-go gumbo for the next day. Yep, it's really that good! Haven't tried any other main dishes, but...heard the chicken fried steak is to die for. Great banana pudding! Everything was clean, well staffed, friendly and food was excellent. Highly recommend!More

Great food

The food and service was wonderful. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of how cold it was. I know it sounds bad, but they had the fans going at full speed, the AC on and it was raining out side. I...know Texas weather is crazy but I was so cold that I was shivering, with a jacket on. The waitress tried to help but could not get the fans to turn down. Other than that it was awesome! The food was great, staff friendly and inviting.More

Worth a drive.

Anytime we are planning a trip where we can route through Montgomery, we do so, just to eat at this restaurant. Excellent food, made from scratch, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. I love the Reuben, which I order with smoked turkey. Have the dressing put...on the side to save calories, but cannot resist the delicious homemade thousand island. Never disappoints.More

Traditional Texas Roadhouse food

If you want to experience Texas, Bar-B-Cue and Beer, this place is a must. A wide range of food from Bar-B-Cue, to steaks, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The portions are large, including the size of your glass of ice tea! The staff are friendly and...the service is great. Too bad we were too full to try the desserts! We had chicken fried steak, pulled pork sandwich and a bar-b-cue burger. All very tasty.More

Love this place

Nice quiet place to eat in Montgomery. I had the catfish and my wife had the meatloaf. Both were delicious. Service was outstanding and parking was easy. Side’s were also great.

Great Restaurant

The atmosphere is casual and family oriented. The food is excellent and the service is attentive. The location is centrally located in the quaint town of Montgomery. Price is moderate for good quality and quantity.
