We have been frequenting this establishment for years with friends who visit the area for the ski season. When we came alone and brought our own family we were in for a very 2nd rate experience. The service was poor and the food we were...served compared to French diners was ridiculous, as we didn’t have enough bread or meat to finish our Reblochon cheese, it was taken away and later brought out and given to another English couple. We now go to Le Refuge where they seem to want our custom and the food is plentiful and great.More

Rude staff treated us as tourists the moment we walked in. Upon arrival we spoke French and was met with English responses … and shown to our table by the door. We ordered our food and it was promptly delivered. My partner ordered the much...talked about (by local friends) lamb chops, which when arrived were rather underwhelming… when a fellow diner ordered the same they arrived and were considerably more substantial… the diner was offered if they wanted them flambéd at the table which was a great bit of table theatre, we had no such offer. Another table were offered aperitifs upon arrival, we had no such offer. When we raised these points with the female waitress she asked if we wanted another chop…after we had finished and she’d had a long conversation with the chef. The waiter who neglected our initial hospitality avoided us for the rest of the experience. Not once apologising for his errors. I didn’t think this sort of attitude still existed in France …. Unfortunately in this place it does. If you’re not local they will just take your money, if you’re English don’t expect friendly service.More

This was a favourite of ours however we were surprised it has changed hands since we were there last... food was same quality..however felt rushed.. not very friendly and there was a feeling of in eat and out... I was very disappointed as I use...to enjoy the cosy atmosphere with a bottle of wine.. didn't get that vibe this time around ...I felt for the price you should feel relaxed and have time to enjoy the eveningMore

Beautiful meal. We had the stuffed pork with chestnut's and the Tartiflette. Really lovely service as well which always makes the dining experience better. To finish we shared a creme brulee and 2 coffees. The best meal we had in Serre Chevalier during our 4...night tripMore

We spent a very pleasant family dinner at this restaurant located in a very charming area (next to the river). We really enjoyed an exceptional service, especially our waiter Amanuel was just amazing 👌

It's such a pleasure to young people running a traditional-looking restaurant and making the effort to inject a bit of interest into the menu and presentation. Following the Ramsay-esque maxim of keep it simple and local, the menu is simple, interesting and using local ingredients....Presentation : as one reviewer said, the visual side is almost Michelin star level. Local : The trout was from Briancon and the edible flowers from the garden. Service : impeccable.More

Had a very stressful drive up and down a mountain that a goat wouldn't have attempted. Arrived at this wonderful restaurant and met my wife. Needed a large beer but unfortunately no draught available but was provided with some lovely alpine ale. Ordered spring roll...and then lamb chops for main. Both were incredible. Ale kept flowing and I was restored to normal very quickly. It's a beautiful setting by the river and the chef is exceptionally talented. The waiters were professional and good fun too. Can't rate this place highly enough.More

A last minute decision to eat here last night proved to be a wise choice. Service was wonderful from all staff but especially our waiter. Food was very tasty and a random house rose was just to my liking. Highly recommended.

It's cosy and busy, but the food was excellent and the wine options matched nicely the menu. Fairly typical mountain choices but well presented and all super tasty. One I'd return to if I was back in La Salle

We ate here just after New Year which is a busy week so booking was essential (for all restaurants in La Salle and in the mountains). For the evenings that week there were two sittings, one at 19:15 and the other at 21:15. We were...made to feel very welcome and the restaurant had a great atmosphere, friendly staff and cozy feel. One of our teenage daughters joined us for the set menu while the other had a la carte. All the food was very good, well presented, without compromise on portion size, although there was a little too much cream on the pumpkin soup for our tastes. The lasagne was also very creamy but considered delicious. The service was prompt without being hurried and our two hour slot felt very relaxed and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Eau petit pont and will revisit if we return to La Salle.More
