Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing restaurant, Richard and Jennifer are welcoming, the raclette is made in the old French fashion way ! Don’t hesitate, if you pass nearby, just go ahead !

If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary in a mountain resort location, this is the place to go. The menu features genuine local dishes and the service is excellent. How often have you seen nettle soup on a menu? It...was absolutely delicious; very refreshing after a hot day in the mountains. Having heard the dish Les Oreilles d'Ane described during the Tour de France TV coverage, this was a must try dish too and definitely a success. The puddings were great too. Well worth a visit.More

Lovely setting and the menu seemed nice, although not much for vegetarians. The proprieter was brusque bordering on rude and unfriendly. We tried our best with our average French, but he seemed more interested in fawning over the other French visitors. He even took a...phone call while taking our order. By comparison, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. As to the food, the tomato tart starter was very tasty, the soup and tuna main were good. However the entrecóte de boeuf was overdone (we asked for medium), fatty, and tough. The waitress was sympathetic, and called over the proprieter, who literally ignored the feedback (the food was all eaten, so it was just constructive feedback, given in a polite way - we didn't send it back) and walked away. I don't think he would treat French people in this way. This beef main course was ¢28, very disappointing. The chocolate dessert was very good. The bill was €127 for four starters, two mains, one dessert and a scoop of sorbet. At the price, it should have been a much more pleasant experience and better food. I'd suggest you visit La Marotte to see how it should be done - fun atmosphere, good value and great food.More

A cold cut plate of a sample size (very old Italian panchetta, see-through slices of ham and sausage + tiny pieces of blue cheese) + an overcooked mix of different meats, hanging on a hot steel bowl (all meats tasted the same, could it pork,...beef or whatever, all super dry. This was supposed to be their specialty...) + overpricing = Avoid. (note : I am not affiliated with any other restaurant business or whatsoever, just an extremely unsatisfied epicurean customer)More

I went to this restaurant after reading positive reviews. My experience was not that good as I hoped. It started when I walked in with the reservation to celebrate the birthday of my spouse. The waiter pointed me to a table at the very entrance...near the door. I humbly suggested another table at the warmer place. The waiter said that there was a radiator near by. I sait that it would not be comfortable to sit there as people open the door to get in and out with the temperature 18F outside and my wife sitting in the opened dress for her birthday.. Only after this argument the waiter gave in and offered me to take any table I wanted. The restaurant was empty and we are the only couple. Ok, I chose another table. Not a smooth start to celebrate the birthday. This was just the beginning. I ordered filet mignon and explicitly asked to have it cooked to Well Well done (bien cuit). When the waiter brought it in half an hour it was rare to core if not less ( see the picture). We were not ready to wait for another half an hour more to cook it and left the restaurant.More

Lots of character. Food was really nice and well presented. Friends had what appeared to be a spiked steel ball covered in meat, this was then coated in some form of flammable liquid and set on fire. Very dramatic and fun. Apparently it still tasted...good as well. My steak was delicious. Worth a visit for sure.More

We had a great time with my family at La Manouille. We headed there for dinner on the last day of our trip and we were not disappointed. The service was great and quick. The food was typical mountain dishes full of cheese: fondue and...raclette. They tasted great and we are definitely planning to come back next year!More
