I had a lovely glass of white wine and Tapas 20mtrs from this restaurant and thought I'd switch to a restaurant for lunch. This place looked busy. I ordered a glass of white wine, no tapas whilst I looked at menu...? Menu was not the same as the one I looked at before I sat down. The food looked average... More

Silverware had tomato sauce on it from the previous user. The table I was at gave me a view into the kitchen where I witnessed the chef recycle someone's food into the food already being prepared and serve it to another table. Chef also went from mopping to cooking without changing gloves. Better off eating at home.

We stopped in here after seeing the monastery and we were very satisfied with our choices. We ordered an off menu seafood paella that a couple next to us recommended, the cazuela de Callos a la Madrilena, and a house salad. The house salad was very large, fresh and delicious with very good ingredients. The cazuela was rich and filling,... More

The food was worth the wait, but the service was extremely poor. Sat beside a nice square and able to enjoy the views, there were just not enough staff to service all customers. We shared three main meals - a good mix and delicious - but all required bread. It took four times of asking for them to finally bring... More

After wandering around Escorial I came across this restaurant and thought the menu of the day looked ok. Wrong!!! The old guy came to give us our menus and wasn't impressed when we asked for the menu of the day. The way he spoke to his staff in front of the customers was embarrasing and if I had been one... We were attracted to go in by the cheaper menu than other places around. But we then found out that there were hidden costs such as drinks and coffee that there were not included. Small pineapple juice and small beer costed 5,50 euros. They are not honest in advertising their prices. The quality is also very poor as dishes come... More

Had lunch here on a Friday, sat outside on the terrace ( main square). After 10 minutes one waiter brought us the menu, after 5 more minutes asked for the drinks, very polite. We then asked if they have also a set lunch menu, as it was not mentioned in the normal menu. Another waitress brought us a very small... More

Stopped there for lunch after visiting El Escorial. It is in a great location one block from el Escorial. Outdoor seating is comfortable and menu is very typical Spanish fare. In my opinion, the food is good, but not great. Prices are pretty high considering. As you can see from the photos, we tried a lot of their different dishes.... More

The waiters are not allowed to take your order , just some old owner , he doesn't pay attention what you ask sometimes because He is too busy checking his employees. Never come back
