We went there for dinner after a meeting in the parador next door. The interior of the restaurant in this historic building is spacious with a lot of large chandeliers on the ceiling and copper cookware all over the place. It creates a cosy atmosphere....More

The atmosphere , the building (built in the 1600’s) very very nice, but disappointed in the food. We opted for the set menu, appetizers all were so so with the exception of the bean (fava) soup which was good. The cochinillo(roast suckling pig) was too...More

Three of us went to the restaurant for lunch. The chestnut soup was outstanding as a starter. I have tried to make the same soup before at home but it came out gritty. For a second I had the Hake, which was also well cooked...More

Felt like formal Spanish dining. Especially so on a Sunday afternoon with whole family and post-Church goers. The solomillo was excellent with thick green pepper corn sauce. Don't worry about menu saying spicy because it's really not.

Opposite the Parador, close to the Plaza Cervantes. An historic building providing excellent locally sourced food cooked traditionally. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Unfortunately this restaurant is not open on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. Possibly the best restaurant in Alcalá.

We ate here while staying at the Parador and had a wonderful experience. The confit of pork, lamb rack, and veal dishes were incredible and the service impeccable. The wine list had a great selection of moderately priced Spanish wines. It was a thoroughly enjoyable...More

Took the family out for lunch and started with a simple plate of croquetas. One had the suckling pig, another lamb and one of us the foie in honey. One boy had the burgers (not in a bun) and the other had the bread covered...More

Yes. They took my US Amex card. If they take Amex, I assume they take any other brands.
