I was unsure of how to organise a Tikal tour, I googled Tikal tours and Hostel/Cafe Yaxha was one of the top results. Thanks to the very friendly and helpful (english speaking) staff who informed me I must purchase tickets from Banrural (Mercado Nuevo) prior to booking the tour and they also gave me directions to Banrural (Mercado Nuevo)

A trippy decorated place :) We just ordered a coffee for 7 qtz (real "dropped" one) and the waitress offered us a wi fi code. It was really early 6:15 ... All other places were closed.

It was bad enough that they did not include coffee with breakfast, but then they charged us full price for refills. Our bill for coffee alone ended up being as much as the breakfast. The Supremo breakfast was not at all Supreme; avoid this place for breakfast.

A delightfully decorated/painted/muraled hostel/restaurant that delivers an excellent backpacker's vibe and a menu with several Mayan style dishes. I got the Fish special and it was delightful. The fish was pan-fried lightly and perfectly, covered with a generous salsa-like tomato topping. Their chips and salsa are homemade, which to me is crucial as I can get bagged tortilla check chips... I tried a number of dishes here during my three night stay at the hostel, and each one looked and tasted delicious. Whoever is working in the kitchen has a very good eye for presentation. The prices are very reasonable considering the presentation and quantity. Try the veggie stir fry - I really loved it. So much that I had... More

We were at this restaurant for dinner; it came highly recommended through reviews and our guides too. The ambiance of the place was very casual and had a bohemian vibe to it. The walls were adorned with beautiful paintings of the jungle. There was a backpackers hostel that was run by the cafe too. The menu looked great in concept.... More

We stayed in Flores for one week recently and went to Cafe Yaxha several times for food and it never disappointed! The menu is very broad and reasonably priced. The breakfast pancakes are absolutely delicious!! There's also super drink deals, 2 for 30q on cocktails. The art work and photography on the wall creates a really cool environment and take... More

Normally, I would not rate this type of restaurant with 5 stars, but maybe 4, but it deserves the 5 stars, because it was the best food we had on Isla Flores in our 6 days stay. We went to a lot of the top 5-10 tripadvisor restaurants, but they are all tourist traps. This food was well prepared and... More

Stayed there for a couple of days and tried lots of things from the menu! Pasta with tuna is really good and chicken with curry also! They have vegetarian options and everything it's done at the moment so things are good and fresh! Really recommended 👌
