Stopped in for a late dinner. The food was delicious as always but our waitress was always missing and hardly said a word to us. This made for a frustrating dinner but like I said, great food, so worth it?

My granddaughters like El Chico, so I took them there for a late lunch. No one was at the front area when we came in, and we waited for several minutes before anyone came to take us to a table. We were there around 3:30,...More
This restaurant looks like it hasn't been updated in decades. We were there on a Friday and there were very few diners there on a night when most restaurants in the area are packed. I ordered the top shelf fajitas which came with beef, chicken,...More

I remember when El Chico was the place for Tex Mex. Stopped in with the family for dinner. It was just ok. I'd eat here if I didn't have another choice, or if friends wanted to, but I won't go back on my own.

We pulled up to the location in McKinney to eat. The drive up appeal is less than appealing. It doesn't look like a thing has been done to this building in years. The lobby is in disarray. Old pamphlets sitting everywhere. A picture for sale...More
It is passable Tex-Mex and very affordable. Okay salsa, chips not that great. Service was pretty good. Certainly out-classed in town.
