Dodge this place, dirty flies on the sides in the buffet style area where you serve yourself. Stupidly we still got our food and ate. Ribs dry as no flavours at all. Brisket dry. Sausage oily as can be, I know sausages are but this was extreme. Mac n cheese, well macaroni with liquid cheese, a ten year old could... More

Stopped at Chisolm Trail for a late Sunday lunch on way back to Austin with inlaws. Brisket was pretty good. I like it sliced a bit thicker but not what they do there. Pork ribs were excellent. Wife enjoyed the turkey. Sides were very good also. Father in law is a peach cobbler snob and he was smiling while he... More

Ok, we wanted to eat breakfast out and thought, why not? The meal was a buffet, with the only egg option being scrambled. We should have left, but oh, well, you have to try sometimes. The biscuits seemed to be from yesterday. I had the hispanic tinged breakfast, which included beans and tortillas. The tortilla was ok, the beans were... More

Great place to sit down and have some good BBQ with all the sides and dessert you can eat at a very reasonable price. The menu includes items for vegans and those who want something other than meat. This place has that down home goodness.

Chisholm Trail doesn't get the same recognition as the other "Big 3", but it's definitely a better value. They also have more options if BBQ isn't what you're in the mood for. Comparing is subjective and their smoked ensemble of meats would hold up against most. The crowd is local and the staff is friendly.

I had not eaten at Chisholm Trail for a while. The last time, several months ago, that I ate I was disappointed. But I decided to try them again and this time I was impressed with the improvement of the quality of their food. Their barbecue chicken was tender and moist and their sausage and beef was also tasty. Their... More

Served cafeteria style. Got it to go back to campground. Get the homemade bread. Great bargain. Lots of locals there.

The meal was delicious, great coleslaw.the BBQ moist not fat, pinto beans had slice of bacon, delicious homemade bread, Best of all the price was half of some other BBQ place which gave us a slab of fat. They aren't snooty, and they don't make you... More

Stopped in for late lunch today on business with 2 other, I had a combo brisket/sausage plate with beans and potato salad. The bbq was ok but not as good as a lot of others around the state and particularly not as good as Blacks there in Lockhart. Prices were fair and the tea was great,If I am ever in... More

We went to Chisholm Trail BBQ, and Got the Chopped Beef Sandwich which were Very Good and had pickles, and onions on the Sandwiches. We were only getting a snack, so I would like to go back and have a meal.
