3 of us had steak. All were excellent. The wild rice was very good too. Decent prices. When we are back in this part of Texas, we will go back here. The old building that the restaurant is in is charming.

Very quaint and lovely restaurant. Really good steak prepared just the way we ordered them. We will return soon.
This wonderful out-of-the-way Steak House is the best kept secret in the area. Come early if you want to eat at your appointed time. The place is big, but it is always full of locals with big appetites.

Small town venue. Worth the drive off the beaten path if you are in the area. They have a bean bar that is free when you purchase food! Their beans are delicious.
I really liked the atmosphere and service, but there was just something not right about the steaks. The salad bar was good and I enjoyed the delicious beans. But it was the thing the restaurant was supposed to be famous for that I couldn't understand....More
We have heard about Murphy's a lot since coming to La Grange, so we decided to check them out. The address on here is misleading - Winchester is not in La Grange, it's a little place maybe 11 miles out. When you arrive, pretty much...More
