We always go to Billy Gene's when we are in Kerrville and we are never disappointed. This time it was HOT outside and the place was very crowded. Nevertheless, we were seated immediately, the server was very quick and efficient, and the food was cooked...More

This is still the best place to eat in Kerrville or Fredericksburg if you like steak. My son and I were seated immediately and our order taken. We both had a perfectly cooked medium rare rib eyes and two sides. The steak was tender and...More

A "go to" place when we visit Kerrville. The food is always good, down home cooking, and very nice wait staff. Plus you get to sit and view the beautiful Guadalupe River while you eat and sip some Texas sweet tea!

Funny thing with some restaurants in Kerrville; they seem to add tex mex items to a home cooking/steakhouse menu. I didn't try any tex mex but I can vouch for some other items. This restaurant is on highway 27 on the banks of the Guadalupe...More

My husband is a tough critic and he had nothing but good things to say. His favorite was the fried okra. Mine was the peach cobbler. Service was friendly and attentive. I wish we lived closer because we definitely would go back.

We have eaten there many times. It is always good and very consistent. The service is also good. The menu is pretty extensive and they also have great desserts.

Billy Gene's is I fine example of good ol' down-home cooking coupled with friendly and efficient service. The menu offers a good selection seafood, meats, and vegetables topped with tempting desserts, all available with a selection of wines and beers. Not elegant, but very satisfying.

My mom loves this place, but we were apprehensive on our visit because my husband has seafood allergies. We explained to the waitress then the manager came out and explained his options. She assured us that she would handle the prep personally. She really took...More

They are Very Fast for the Quality Food they serve, but if you order when a bunch of other orders are being prepared, there will be a wait. Call for the best time to go, or go to the 'Hippie Festival', smell the air out... More

No. There is a lot of seating room. Of course Sundays are very busy. There may be a short wait.
