We stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Our waitperson Michael were personable and very helpful. My husband had a great hamburger on a wheat bun (there are actually several types of buns offered including sourdough & jalapeno!). As a side he had the haystack which were fried onion silvers & jalapenos and very good. I had the spinach... More

We were traveling in the area, saw the ratings and stopped to eat here. It wasn't terrible or bad, but not as good as some reviews. If you like fried food, this is the place. I ordered chicken fingers and the portion was small, the sweet potatoe fries served with meal was smaller than a small fry size at McDonalds.... More

We stopped in for lunch on our way back from Livingston and were sad that we did not have room for dessert after eating our main meal. The desserts looked amazing. I had the steak fingers and homemade chips - they were amazing. Hubby had the chicken ranch sandwich on jalapeno bun and the broccoli cheese casserole which he said... More

Really enjoyed eating here, it was a fun atmosphere and the food was great too. I still have to go back for the pie, which is supposed to be the best part.

We were there 1-18-15. The decor is hometown Texas style. The menu matches, burgers, chicken fried steak, etc. Both kids had chicken tenders, fried okra and mashed potatoes. They said theirs' were really good. My wife and I, because it was a new place to us, wanted to try a few things. We ordered a regular cheeseburger with sweet potato... More

When I received the bill I was amazed ........... then I remembered, we had shared a dinner and there was no alcohol!! That being said, if you enjoy simple fried food in good quantity at value for money prices then this is a place for you if you are in Huntsville. Don't expect anything fancy but do expect to leave... This place was totally full for lunch today, we had to park accross the street. The service was slow, the food was average , okra was greasy, small piece of grilled chicken, but the dessert was the best, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream was the best. Customer service acceptable, iced teas good, clean restrooms , average place to visit... More

We went there because new restaurants in Huntsville do not exist. I have a few minor issues but overall I feel it will give farm house a run for its money. We had a wide range from the menu and it was pretty good. The only complaint at the table on dinner was saltiness. That's not a deal breaker really.... More

I love the cleanliness and atmosphere. Even though it was pretty crowded at lunch time we didn't have to wait and it wasn't loud! I felt like I had been on a road trip making a unique stop. Everyone is friendly, service is fast and the mushroom swiss burger is HUGE!. I ordered fried jalapenos and onion rings. Yummy! Parking... More

My wife and I have been eating at City Hall Cafe for the better part of ten years. They used to be located in the middle of nowhere about ten miles west of Huntsville, Texas on an old, nondescript Farm to Market road. The original location had a special charm made possible by the clever use of old license plates,... More
