Traveling in the area to visit friends. Started in the bar with two sangria’s and a Manhattan about $45 with tip. Against my better judgement I ordered the red fish special at a steak place, and I try to avoid chain restaurants. Fish was ok, but the steaks looked and tasted better. Fried mushrooms and spin dip to start, both notably good. A bit on the higher priced chains, loud atmosphere, decent service but difficult for waiter to handle all the tables. Nothing overly wrong, just disappointed for the dollars spent. Two hamburger steaks, two redfish specials, two appetizers water to drink with meal about $145 with tip. We’ll give it another chance but may be a bit.

Came here 18 June to meet a friend for a late lunch. He was running late so I started on the delicious fresh bread. We had the Range Rattlers appetizer (Jumbo shrimp in jalapeños with ranch dressing). My friend had the NY Strip steak & I had the rib & grilled shrimp combo. Just as advertised the meat fell off the bone and the combo was fantastic. I had the Liberty School “Rare Cut” Cabernet Sauvignon which was quite good. Loaded baked potato & salad on the side followed up by a huge slice of carrot cake. Mike the waiter did a great job. This location in Humble is always good.

Gotta check your final check I think people do thongs right so I didn't check thoroughly. First, order Upgrade of wedge salads with meal instead of salad with meal. Upgrade on menu $4.49 but we were charged the FULL price for Wedge salad of$7.49 each! And then menu said 9 oz Maudean Filet and 32..99 but we got charged $34.98!
I don't check every time because I like to think the employees will get it RIGHT for their customers!
On the good side Larry was a great server but missed the correct prices!
Manager - guess this may be my last special dinner at Salt Grass!

I met some friends traveling thru Houston at the Salt Grass in Humble. They wanted steak and we went there. First time for me since I really like Pappas next door. I had the surf and turf (ribeye), my friend had a T-bone and his brother had the rib eye bone in (Cowboy steak). I got there a few minutes late to meet them and they had devoured a loaf of bread which was replaced after they took my drink order.
The food was excellent. I have read some reviews here that if you ordered something additional it would take time. No so in our case. My friend's brother added broccoli and i wanted melted butter for my shrimp. It did take much time at all.
The loaded baked potato was good. But not superb. My friend's brother and a restauranteur said it was the best he ever had.
We met at about 2:30 on a Friday and it was not crowded. No table wait I do not believe. The service and server were very attentive.
One additional note, probably due to Covid, no salt and pepper shakers at the table which you will probably need if getting the potato. I did not really look over the menu since I knew what I wanted. The menu looked put together nice.

Hope you don’t need extra cheese for your broccoli and order through Uber eats. They say they can’t charge you for it so you can’t have it. It’s on the menu with the food but not on the sides. It’s .30 to .50 cents for the cheese. We go there or order at least ONCE A WEEK for a $100 order and never charge us in person. Are you really willing to lose a customer on less than 0.50 when we spend $400 plus a month?? Come on Saltgrass…think this through.
I talked to the manager on duty, it’s 1/25/23 at 5:31pm CST and he had a rude tone. I will be changing restaurants in the future. 1/2 the time we are receiving incorrect or just missing food. Uber gives the money back but they don’t check their orders closely.

Wife and I went early Sunday evening. Moderately crowded. 16 oz prime rib is probably the best in town. The large pork chop and baked sweet potato were unbeatable. Everything came to the table hot and just right.
Been going to this location for over 20 yrs and does not look like anything has changed at all. Interior needs a make over. The place looks clean enough but it is just old inside.
The service is energetic and attentive and managers pay attention and are professional.
Like the place a lot but the interior does not match the food quality.

We are from Huntsville Alabama, here to memorialize an uncle who has recently passed. We decided to try Saltgrass here tonight, and it did NOT disappoint!! Our servers name was Daniel, and that dude was absolutely spot on. We are a family of 5, 3 boys and my wife and I, so we decided to get 3 appetizers, plus meals. Not one single thing that we ordered was bad. Everything tasted so good, and Daniel represented the restaurant incredibly well, as did all the support folks that helped him bring our food.
Our food was all brought at the same time, Bread was provided, soups, salads, appetizers, and entree's and needless to say, we are stuffed!! Man oh man was that a great meal!
Whenever I see the debate on tipping, and how much, etc... this is the kind of experience I DO NOT mind overtipping for!! This is the way it should always be. I gave Daniel a big fat tip in cash, and let him know I appreciated him waiting on my family tonight. That dude needs a raise!!
Anyway, if you are contemplating eating out in Humble Texas, I HIGHLY recommend you go to Saltgrass, and ask for Daniels section!! Although it looked to me like all the wait staff there was as good as Daniel was to us. THANK YOU SALTGRASS!!! If you have the good fortune to live near here, I would be here at least once a week. Great food, great prices...just all around great experience.

Came here with family whilst visiting from Manchester UK.
The service was horrendous. We hadn’t even sat down and the server asked if we wanted to get any drinks, we had to tell him 3 times that we wanted to look at the drinks menu.
We ordered a starter for the table and then 4 steaks and a jacket potato for our baby.
The starter came out with the soups and salad, the jacket potato came and I was feeding the baby, I had barely touched my salad and hadn’t even had any of the starter, and our steaks came out. This is not good service at all, and I would suggest that the server is re trained on how to run a section properly:
I have never felt so rushed in a restaurant, my steak was cooked wrong, there was so much salt on it. I mentioned to the server that my broccoli was to share with my baby and it came out smothered in meat juices, so I was unable to give her any.
The server was rude, arrogant and obviously in a rush to get us out of the restaurant,
I would not of tipped at all, however it is apparently custom to tip in America.
We were in and out within an hour.
I’m not sure if this is standard in America but in the UK we make sure we look after customers.
I would not recommend this restaurant for food or service. And we will definitely not be back.

This is our regular Salt Grass that we visit. Using our 24k comps which I verified before we went in to eat. Had more than enough to cover the bill. The lady manager rang our bill up wrong and we owed money. Bad part she was just flat out rude. Maybe mid twenties and treated us like crap!

In at 4 and not crowded at all. Seated at bar and had a beer in minutes. Bartender jenvwas great. Food was fast hot and fresh. Great prices and service. I have always been happy stopped at a Salt Grass

Your average chain restaurant steak house. My friend had a crack in her martini glass and sent it back. Waiter didn’t apologize and brought it back in a new glass. Didn’t even make a new drink. Not impressed.

Wow! Service was excellent, and food was fantastic. Jalapeno Rattlers were Really good. Steak and sides were second to none. seriously cannot go wrong if you want a great meal and great service!

Work group passing through, the restaurant was mega! Staff were fantastic - paying by card can be a little confusing in the states but the staff where happy to explain it. Portions are huge!

We had an awesome waiter who was very friendly and attentive. He had patience with my slow ordering dad and gave him wonderful suggestions. Our food was good as always. We love this place!
