We stopped in for a quick bite on a Friday night early before it got too crazy. We always sit at the bar area where they shuck the oysters as it is easy to get a seat there without waiting most times. And it is fun, you get to watch the guy shuck the oysters. They usually have one server for the area who is almost always there so it's like having a private waiter, you never wait long for food or a drink refill. Love their oysters, both Gulf coast and the ones from up north.

Whenever we fly into the George Bush airport from a trip it is a mandatory stop to enjoy a good meal at Pappas Seafood House in Humble on our way to Nacogdoches.
We know there will be a diversity of delicious tasty dishes along with attentive service by the entire staff.
On our visit visit we enjoyed Louisiana Gumbo, and Shrimp Po- Boys. I splurged on their Onion Rings too.
Portions are large and the drinks are also nice; especially if you are not the driver on the way home.
Drank for the first time a Crawford Bock on Tap. Not bad with a good Shrimp Po-Boy.

After waiting quite a while for a table it seemed obvious there was staff lacking to take care of service adequately. If a restaurant is so noisy it wants to move people thru quickly because it isn't a place for conversation. The food was very good, but a $150 meal for 2 people it should be. .. That's why we go there

Stopped by Pappa’s on our way to Houston craving seafood. Thought we would give them a shot. This turned out to be the wisest decision of the day. We got the Cobb salads with blacken shrimp. They were phenomenal. Enough shrimp to have one in every bite. Fresh lettuce and avocados, along with apple wood smoked bacon. They were divine.
Our server, Sam, took good care of us. Hot bread and frequent drink refills. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and assured us that any modifications would be accommodated.
Pappa’s was very reasonably priced.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Colleen. Very valuable member of the team that went out of her way to make sure everything was just right.
Must Stop in Humble!

This was our first time at Pappas Seafood House. We had a wonderful experience due to the skillful service of Jacob and the excellent preparation of food in the kitchen. We had Brie & Spinach Dip for an appetizer with the softest most flavorful garlic bread. I had the Atlantic Salmon & Scallops and my spouse had the Salmon. Shrimp, Scallops & Crabcake. The seafood was prepared to perfection. The Salmon was moist and flavorful. The scallops were perfect (not overcooked - rubbery)
Jacob, a true professional, delivered the best service that I have had in years.
It gets cold in there so bring a light jacket.
Look forward to our next trip.

My wife and I are older with some health issues so when Covid was in full swing we did not eat out much. We went back for lunch last week and had a great time! My oysters were perfect and my wife loved her fried shrimp.
The prices have gone up but so have the costs for the restaurants so we understand. Food has to be caught and shipped and gas is expensive, wages are up, etc. No complaints.

We have visited Papa's Seafood multiple times and always love the experience. It has just always been a positive experience. My wife has several food related allergies and the staff and managers go out of their way to work out issues with the plates she wants to fit her diet. The floor manger we deal with regularly is ,Stade, he is great and remembers our needs and our past visits. He has made Papa's our favorite place to frequent. Thanks Papa's.

Read many reviews and were looking forward to dining here including waiting for a table. The decor is just ok, feels rather tired. Server was very friendly and happy to make suggestions. Portions are crazy large and we observed that most people were not finishing their dishes which is so wasteful.... The trout was particularly good. I made mistake of ordering a baked potato on the side and it was the biggest potato I have every seen - we were in Texas after all!

Best seafood in town- friends who moved to Dallas miss eating here so while they were in town we were pleased to dine here on New Year’s Eve with no wait thanks to the waiting list. All our dinners were excellent as well as the service as usual. We had stuffed flounder, salmon, redfish. Salads were the freshest and large enough to share. It’s always a treat to eat here.

My mom and I ate here on a Wed afternoon and the food and service was great! Baby lemme tell you, I had the “Dirty Dirty” drink and the name is appropriate! That drink did me dirty, I could barely get up lol…good thing I didn’t drive. It was mixed perfectly though. All the food was great from the house salad, to the jambalaya, to the fried fish/shrimp we had to the shrimp pasta! Will def be back! The establishment was also clean and we had a great seat with a view.

We live out of town and always look forward to meeting friends at Pappas (Humble).
Not only was food prepared well, but we had a great expierence with Johnny (Juan) the server. Prompt, attentive and no mistakes. Johnny is definitely an asset to the Pappas Company/Family . Thanks

1st time at a Pappas Seafood restaurant and we were treated like royalty. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented well. The floor manager was so pleasant and personable, and our server Jackie was the best.

We have been coming to this location for YEARS ...So we have been familiar with the flow of operation of this location. WHOEVER was the one that decided to take away the seating for waiting up front was a TERRIBLE idea. Clearly NOT thinking of anyone that is mobility impaired or elderly. AND to pack in SO many tables that you are forced to be a part of the others around you was not a CUSTOMER FRIENDLY decision. The waiter next to us along with the other patrons were having to present their backsides LITERALLY almost on our table was RIDICULOUS! The food is Excellent but now the ambiance is more like a lesser quality restaurant.
