First meal here on our arrival in Texas. Nice start to the trip. Our waiter was very prompt with his service, and very helpful. Food was very fresh, well cooked, well seasoned. Had a cold starter of raw fish, tomatoes, coriander etc which with the provided corn chips was lovely and light and refreshing. As a side, they provided a... More

On this stretch of Katy Highway , you can can find great food in at least 3 different restaurants within half a mile, but Goode's is the go to for Seafood. Trust me because I love them all! We had a wonderful family dinner there knowing whatever we ordered would be excellent. Our table tried both of the chef specialty... More

To pricey in comparison to the small portion of the fish being served. The seafood empanadas are excellent.

Delicious seafood for sure, but THE BEST Campechana you'll ever eat. And they have it on their happy hour menu too. You can order it with crab or shrimp - or a mixture. It's all great. That's just my favorite go-to meal so I rarely even look at the menu. My partner, however, loves their grilled fish.

We have been going to Goode Company Seafood for years. We originally went to the Westpark location when we lived closer to that side of town. Then we moved to the west side and did not go as often, because it was farther away. Then the Katy Freeway location opened up and we were elated! I can honestly say, that... More

I have eaten here twice with large groups over the past few years, and I have never been disappointed. The service is good, the food is fairly priced (for a somewhat upscale restaurant), and the overall experience is very pleasant.

Seafood at its very best! It's a typical seafood restaurant. We both chose something different. I tried the Fried Shrimp which was excellent as was the tartar sauce. My colleague opted for the had the Mesquite catfish with the shrimp etouffee and seafood rice, You really cannot fault the food, the tastes are unsurpassed. They do have a great menu,... More

My son and I visited the spot while in Texas recently. The pecan pie is oh so good!! I had the two meat plate with green beans and pinto beans. The brisket was so tender and the bbq sauce has a sweet taste. I finished my plate! Then it was time for the pie. Yum yum and yum!! It was... More

Excellent seafood lunch. Well prepared, good service, slighty pricy. We return over and over and it has always been as good as the last time. Sets a good standard for business lunches and dinners.

Company in town and after a bit of shopping we stopped into Goode Co, Seafood mid-afternoon for a respite. After some great service, wonderful appetizers and cold, delicious beverages we were on a way for some more Houston adventures. Strongly suggest you give them a try if you have not already done so.

Description
One of five children, Jim Goode was born and raised along the Texas Gulf Coast. His father was a shift worker at a nearby refinery and his mother spent her time taking care of things at home. Most weekends, you could find the whole family at the local area beaches where the kids spent their time fishing, crabbing and playing in the surf. Jim loves this way of life and he especially loves the food. So in an effort to combine his fondness for the roadside diners that dot the Texas and Louisiana coastline with his love for the region's seafood, Jim began to explore how he could translate his passions into a dining experience that would ultimately bear the family name. In 1986, he located a passenger train car that looked like it would fit the bill. He negotiated its purchase and moved it to its current location on Westpark. A few months later, Goode Company Seafood was born. The concept was to grill fresh seafood over mesquite, or fry it in refined oil with a thin batter. So, while you'll find signature dishes like campechanas, seafood gumbo and whole stuffed flounder on the menu, you won't find sauces or heavy layers of breading to mask the flavor of the fish. And if something isn't in season, you won't find it on the menu.
