We love the steamed and pan fried dumplings but our real delight is the eggplant dish that is just amazing if you like eggplant. We especially like it at lunch that goes to 4 o'clock. We like the way that cook does his woc magic. Give it a try and you will be happy!

Hi! Great restaurant for Authenic Asian dumpings in galleria/west side of Houston. Chinese / some what Japanese style dumplings are the obvious speciality. Family style with a group is the way to go with the pork dumplings, chicken noodle soup, mixed fried rice, and salt and pepper shrimp. Salt and pepper shrimp are fried in the shell which is pretty... Knowing my wife loves genuine Xiao Long Bao and wanting to rendezvous with our son with her for an early Mother's Day dinner, we all met at Dumpling King to treat her. The place is (as many reviews say) a real small family run storefront spot in a non-descript center along Westheimer. Parking can be a hassle but we were... More

I've been going to Dumpling King for years and have never been disappointed. I live in Austin now but whenever I'm in Houston I try to stop by and get dumplings to bring back home with me. They really are the best!

All hand made, it's a place for a dumpling aficionado. Family owned, good and quick service, is a place I visit happily when I'm in Houston

Visited for lunch, busy restaurant with a lot of locals - Chinese - which is always a good sign. Straightforward menu options, instantly you notice how affordable the food is. We had dumplings and some vegetables. I had hot and sour soup too, which was delicious. Prompt service was delivered by the polite ladies.

With dumplings as their focus its no surprise that this is a good quick fix. They have a couple spices and oils at the table that you can mix up on a plate and we split a couple variety options of dumplings (10 per plate, mixed between boiled and pan fired). Very tasty, inexpensive and quick. Personally I prefer the... More

This place is one step above a hole-in-the-wall, but the dumplings are to die for! If you like either steamed or wok-fried dumplings of a) pork; b) chicken; c) vegetables; d) beef; e) a combination of the above, you're going to love this place. Just order a plate of 10 dumplings, mix together a side dish of minced ginger, jalapeno,... More

I have been to this establishment many times in the last 20 years. It is convenient to my work, but what sets it apart is the family type environment and their willingness to make the food the way you want.

Come here at least once a month and always find the food , good and tasty and fast. My favorite appetizer is the green onion pancakes and always order more to take home. Everything is great on the menu and make sure you use their green chili relish.
