Very authentic and amazing Mexican cuisine-- I would not suggest bringing young kids (it's not a place for cheese quesadillas and queso)-- the food is delicious and very unique it's definitely worth a visit

The great reviews built up our expectations, so we were left a bit disappointed. The service and ambiance were wonderful, and most of the food was good. My husband's scallops were huge. My chicken dish was a bit dry -- I could have used some salsa but no one came by while we were eating. The margarita's were good! It... More

This was great! They have some very traditional Mexican dishes on the menu, as well as some unusual ones. The grilled octopus appetizer was delicious. My husband enjoyed the cricked tacos. I loved the cochinita pibil. The carnitas were very good, as well. The rose petal ice cream was different, we thoroughly enjoyed Hugo's! It is a gourmet touch on... More

My friend and I went there for their brunch on our last day in Texas. This was the absolute best Mexican food I've ever had. The tamales were phenomenal! I would recommend this place to anyone who asks. The brunch may be $33 per person, but it's worth it ... absolutely worth it. I plan to go back the next... More

Delicate sauces, excellent quality, preparation and presentation. Head and shoulders above most every Mexican restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. Do it!

Take real Mexican dinner and forget about TexMex, cheap and fat stuff! We went to Hugo's, a real Mexican restaurant, maybe some is fusion food, I think. A very nice restaurant, where the dishes look better than the room itself, and of course taste much better! Although every table full, we got served timely and very friendly, so we had... More

I started with a skinny margarita that was delicious. The ceviche was was spicy and very good. The Barbacoa was fabulous - tender and tasty. Service was excellent. They have a nice happy hour menu.

We attended a wedding rehearsal dinner at Hugo's last night and I was thoroughly impressed. It was a group of about 25 and serving large groups often compromises something. In tight space, servers worked through the room offering appetizers that were hot, beautifully presented and delicious. We were offered three entree choices and I uncharacteristically opted for steak which was... More

Somewhat inconsistent service didn't otherwise tarnish an excellent dinner. You must make a reservation in advance or be prepared to wait (as many did well past 9:30pm for a Saturday dinner) and if Open Table doesn't show any available tables at a time you want call as they keep some set aside. We ordered guacamole to kick off dinner and... More
