Met an old college classmate for dinner while in Houston. Was staying in the Galleria area, so he took me to Arcodoro. Great location, great service, and the food was outrageous!! We had the Tuna Tartare appetizer and I had the Salmon seafood special with Risotto. We had to leave early to pick up another member of the party, so... More

In a city that has excellent restaurants, from old time gems, to neighborhood hang outs, to perfect concept restaurants, Arcodoro is way behind the curve. It looks and feels like a charmless Florida, plaster made, faux Tuscan you find on every tourist corner and strip mall. We had a hard time finding something on the menu that actually sounded good... We came in for an early dinner and therefore we were seated right away. We sat outside as the cool breeze was very suitable for such. We ordered the Sardinian sampler appetizers for starters. Good but certainly not spectacular. For dinner we ordered the Linguini with clams and the Margherita pizza. The linguini had a good flavor but the clams... More

Had a business dinner and was thoroughly pleased with the impeccable food and service we experienced. The food was superb and fresh. Our group shared meals and I can highly recommend the lamb, bone in filet, sole, veal, and lobster. With that said, the lamb was done to perfection and my favorite.

Thank you Don for sharing your review with the Trip Advisor Community. We enjoyed having you and looking forward to many more times you "break bread" at Arcodoro. My favorite is the lamb as well but the Dover Sole is a close second. More

Like the previous reviewer, I had the Sardinian tasting menu during HRW. Granted, I went on the Saturday of the Labor Day Weekend, so I shouldn't have expected much. I was seated in Siberia on what was supposed to be a patio. I had the same menu as described - my tuna was also missing the cannellini beans which are... More

Arcodero is an Italian and Sardinian restaurant in Post Oak Center. I had talked my friends into coming here during Houston Restaurant Weeks because I wanted to try their Sardinian tasting menu. We all ordered it and we all were disappointed. I have never been to Sardinia so the food may have been authentic, but if so, it is nothing... More

If you're interested in authentic Sardinian food, Arcodoro is well worth the visit. I became aware of Arcodoro upon planning a trip to Sardinia and reading owner Efisio Farris's book on the food of that Italian island. I had the polipo (octopus) appetizer and the spaghetti with butarga and scallops, followed by a glass of mirto (a digestive liquer) and... More

We took the family for Sunday lunch to Arcodoro. The place is well located on the corner of Westheimer and S.Post Oak. Efficient valet parking. There are some outdoor tables, but not advisable in the summer. Inside, the dining areas are divided into smaller rooms, thus offering the impression of privacy and intimacy. The decor is typically Italian, with wall... More

It is now certain, After so many wonderful meals, that Arcodoro is the finest Italian Restaurant in Houston. They offer true Sardinian fare, and we love the delightful presentation of the three brilliant specials of the day! A warm welcome, immediate seating, waiters and sparkling water within seconds! Truly worth the trip, and always a superb dining experience. The waitstaff... More
