Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the…
We took a business associate to this Houston classic. Our table was waiting for us, and on a Sunday evening, the place only filled about half the tables. Our server was rough, almost rude. He reached in front of the guests, dumped plates and flatware...More
If you haven’t been to Brennan’s you need to go. I recommend brunch. Old fashioned elegance and southern charm with great food. Brunch is a three course event. Many options but the standard fare is turtle soup (make sure you add sherry), Eggs Brennan (one...More
My colleague and I were on a business trip to Houston and decided to come here after 4 long days working at a trade show. We didn’t know much about this area, but drove by this restaurant a couple of times. We were completely mesmerized...More
Went for Brennan's brunch the Sunday after Christmas with a total of nine, including kids ages 3, 5, & 9. Food was excellent as always, but the service was like we were in the home of an old friend and not a restaurant. Staff did...More
We went two days before Christmas. They offer pralines in the check in area.

We hadn’t been to the restaurant in many many years, and thought it would be great revisiting it for my parent’s anniversary. Wish we would have gone somewhere else for such a special occasion.
The staff was nice and quite helpful, but none of the...More
Food was good literally until the last hour of service. GREGORY was great along with others. The turtle soup was delicious, especially with the bread. The sazerac could be ice cold as served in New Orleans otherwise nice restaurant.

I ordered the tasty seafood gumbo as a starter. Next, I ordered the flavorful Shrimp and Grits where Brennan's use a lovely goat cheese in the grits. Also, the presentation of the Shrimp and Grits was great and you can smell all the aroma. I...More
I had the Sugarcane Smoked Beef Ribs. Oh my. My wife had the Snapper Ponchatrain, I believe.
Those ribs were amazing. They had a great glaze, and had been smoking for hours. The taste, texture and portion size were all fantastic.

You can get a public express bus, no stops and I think the number is 103, from IAH, at terminal C, to downtown. You would need and uber from that point to the restaurant, probably about 5 or 6 dollars for the uber.
