We had an amazing dinner at Brenner’s. It was our first time there and it truly didn’t disappoint. Our server Jacob gave us outstanding service. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. We didn’t wait long for our food to arrive and our drinks were...always full. We will definitely go to Brenner’s again and would recommend it to anyone.More

Brennan's is a great date night restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious (try the crab cakes! I could eat 20) & the location is so beautiful. Shout out to Justin, who was our waiter. He was fantastic - attentive while also giving us time to...think over our dinner choices.More

We were a table for eight. This is an annual get together to celebrate two anniversaries and two birthdays. We all ordered from the wine and dine menu. In the past the beef entre was an eight ounce filet mignon. This year it was a...12 ounce NY strip. The price increased by 23% from last year. The quality of the food was terrible. First time ever we can say that. My salad was mush. Saturated In vinaigrette. All five of the NY strips were full of fatty gristle. My wife couldn’t cut her steak. Mine was the same. The so-called sweet potato fries were almost raw. We pointed all of this out to our waiter but it was too late in the evening to start dinner over. He tried to tell us that NY strips are typically tough. Really? I don’t think so. Just a failed service across the board.More

Dining at Brennan’s of Houston was a culinary adventure that celebrated the flavors of Creole cuisine and Southern hospitality. The restaurant’s historic and elegant ambiance set the stage for an exceptional meal. The menu was a symphony of Creole dishes, highlighting the richness of Louisiana...flavors. The tasting menu was a journey into creative flavors and exquisite presentations. The staff’s knowledge of the menu and their dedication to culinary excellence made the dining experience truly remarkable. Pairing the dishes with wines from the extensive list was a delightful exploration of Creole gastronomy. Brennan’s of Houston is not just a restaurant; it’s a tribute to the beauty of Southern cuisine and a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Houston.More

After over a decade of eating at Brennan's one to three times a year, the service has drastically declined. You used to get attentive waiters, spotless table linens and great food. It was worth the price to go for special occasions. This last time we...went the food was cold, we had our drink orders taken THREE times before we got them, water was refilled one time and it was so long between the finish of our deserts (the bananas foster which was started by one waiter, then traded out to another waiter as presumably the first had more important things to attend to than us), that we actually went wandering the halls to track down a random server to get us someone to get us the bill! We've loved Brennan's and has been our tradition for years. I wrote to the manager, Carl, and never received a response. So I wrote later via the webpage, and I know the email went through as I got a response to reserve again. I expressed my disappointment at even the lack of an insincere, "thank you for your email," and never heard back. My friend is a restaurant manager himself and says the least the manager can do is respond (after three tries!). Brennan's is now threadbare, inattentive waiters, spotted linens and not worth the price you pay for what used to be a great dinner.More

My husband and I have traveled the world and are super "foodies" . This place is in our top five restaurants. The service was incredible, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was romantic and calm. We came here for Houston Restaurant Week and the...prix fixe menu was full of great choices. Logan was our server and he was fantastic; it's rare nowadays to get good customer in general so I was very, very impressed and appreciative of the excellent service. Highly, highly recommend!!!More

One nice touch is they gave me a fruit bowl because I am gluten free and can’t eat bread. They have very few gluten free options. John recommended the crab cakes, so that’s what I ordered. They were not listed on the Sunday menu. They...were very good and were mostly crab. Some crab can be fishy, not theirs. My only complaint was the crab cakes were $49. Twice the price of the other brunch options. John should have told me the price. I received two small, but thick crab cakes and no sides for $49. I ordered a side of Brussels sprouts for $10. They were good, but far from the best I have ever eaten. I ordered the banana foster. It is always great to see it cooked table side. I had my expectations set too high. I was expecting a Commander’s Palace experience. Can’t hold a candle to CP. My lunch with a 20% tip was over $97. For the cost of the food, it should have been the best I have ever eaten. This was not the case. It was average for memorable great meals. This is the most expensive lunch I have ever eaten and far from the best. I am sad to say, I can’t recommend it. Too pricey, small servings, and average tastes.More

We are so happy that we got recommend this eatery by some local drivers of ours. This place was elegant and classy yet not over the top which is rare these days. For my main course I went all in with the Shrimp and Grits...and boy, they did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection like we’ve had in Charleston and Atlanta. The boudin was a bit compacted which wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was also delicious! The service was outstanding lead by Oscar, he made us feel welcomed throughout. My Bananas Foster for dessert was delicious and they cook it in front of your table which I thought was pretty cool! An employee named Branden cooked it for us and he did an excellent job!More

Brennan’s Chef Kitchen Table If you have not experienced the amazing pleasure of Brennan’s chef kitchen table, you must add it on top of your bucket list. It’s a one-of-a-kind taste extravaganza and a memory creating treasure! It’s perfect for celebrations. Happy hour, brunch, lunch...and dinner at Brennan’s are exceptional too, but nothing compares to the six course personalized kitchen attention, surprise culinary delight courses with paired wines. (Reservations are necessary, as the limited size is popular. ) Our teen grandson loves the signature turtle soup. He mentioned his preference for it and suddenly it was generously served to everyone. Next, a person in our party ( a member of the French Saint-Emilion Jurade ) was amazed when a Saint-Emilion wine was paired with one of the dishes. The variety of desserts was phenomenal, and the awesome presentation of the flaming baked Alaska was incredible. Believe me, it’s worth the splurge!More

We went for Sunday Brunch. Rather than book a reservation online, call instead. The website said there was no availability, we called instead and got a reservation without a problem. Food was great and service was also back to its pre-pandemic standards.

Our family took us to lunch at Brennan's in honor of our 50th anniversary. It was such a sweet gesture, and always in the past, you could count on Brennan's for excellent food. I ordered a salad that had obviously been made quite some time...ago, with the dressing added to it was cold and wilted. An order of the three soups were not even warm. Just not at all up to Brennan's standards.More

We dropped in for Sunday brunch with friends. The place was decorated for a party, with balloons, flowers and a ton of small children. Quite noisy, including a traveling New Orleans-style musical group. Service was excruciatingly slow. We arrived at 12:30 pm and left at...4:30!!! The cocktails were well-prepared and a great start of the brunch. The portions were noticeably small, although the usual Brennan's classics were all available. My wife's eggs Brennan were overdone: the joy of eggs Benedict is the very soft yolk combined with the muffin and ham. My seafood gumbo was mostly vegetables, with a couple of medium-sized shrimp hiding behind the okra. The Snapper Borgne consisted of two very small fillets, covered with a creamy crab preparation. While delicious, it was more an appetizer portion than a main dish. The steak-frites were very good: no complaints there. The bananas foster were not as we remembered them: they were overdone, with too much cinnamon and slightly burned. The wine selection is extensive: Brennan's has one of Huston's best cellars. Most wines are well-priced and reliably well-kept.More

You can get a public express bus, no stops and I think the number is 103, from IAH, at terminal C, to downtown. You would need and uber from that point to the restaurant, probably about 5 or 6 dollars for the uber.
