I've been to Baba Yega several times with my most recent visit with a friend that I have not seen in a while. We had salads and beverages for a light lunch. The wait staff were attentive and friendly with the atmosphere casual. All in all a nice casual place to catch up with a friend.

One certainly doesn't have to be vegetarian to be pleased with this restaurant, but if you are, you will find it very pleasing. Tucked in an old residential area, occupying an historic house, surrounded by some of the wonderful trees that the city boasts, Baba Yega provides an extensive menu. I ordered the beautiful Hippie Meatloaf (vegan) and it was... More

First off, I wanted to thank you for seeking us out while in the Montrose area. The Hippie Meatloaf's a favorite around here, so I'm glad it hit the spot for you. I look forward to welcoming you back for more of our vegan options next time you're around. All the best, Carlos, Manager More

The fish tacos were excellent. Great tortillas, great sauce. I was however disappointed that they don't have the hibiscus tea. It was my favourite thing in the menu and they did so well. I was sad to not see it on the menu. Is the tea really that hard to make?

I'm sorry we didn't have the hibiscus tea you were looking for, Mary. As you might know, Baba Yega is under new ownership, so some of our menu items have been changed. With that being said, it's wonderful the fish tacos still hit the spot! I look forward to welcoming you back for more. All the best, Carlos, Manager More

I have been eating at Baba Yega for almost 20 years. One of my favorite restaurants inside the loop. The dill potato salad was out of the world good. One of the main reasons I eat here is the potato salad. So much to my surprise the potato salad is no longer on the menu? WHAT? How can an iconic... More

Rhonda, thank you so much for the feedback. As you may have heard, Baba Yega is under new ownership now, so our menu has changed a bit. The Hungry's Family has believed in providing a fresh fare dining concept for over 40 years now. In order to accommodate this, we needed to make some menu changes that unfortunately did not... More

I arrived a few minutes before opening time and was amazed at the crowd awaiting entry. Always a good sign. Five star worthy: good value, nice decor indoors and patio areas, plenty of waitstaff, tasty food variety, best omelet station, fresh fruit, hot food, waffle and bakery stations. There were many beverage options on the menu as well as vegan... More

I love going to Baba Yega. Its always busy and there is always a wait but it is well worth it. You can get a Mimosa or beverage from the bar while you wait. You can order from the menu or eat the buffet. I like the buffet because there is a large variety of fresh items. You can even... More

We were there on Sunday, July 17, at about 11:30 am for the buffet with two children. There was a huge selection of lunch items, but there was very few breakfast items that I could eat (lactose intolerant....everything had sauce/cheese). There was an omelet station with several cooks, but it took 15-20 minutes in line to get an omelet. All... More

We make the scrambled eggs at the omelet station, Billie. We also make a tofu scramble there. Did you ask your server about it? They could have helped you with that. We know brunch here can get pretty busy, so we appreciate your patience. If there's anything on our end we can do to speed things up, we'll look into... More

I was there on a Sunday, in case that matters. The atmosphere was extremely inviting and the scene changes as you roam between the rooms and patios - so it has something for everyone when it comes to the place. It's filled with a variety of people and the watching is fun to be sure. I ordered off the menu... More
