Ok, when I came back to Houston after 29 years away, this was one of my 1st stops and I have been coming back for last 10 years. The chili, without beans is great. So are the coney cheese dogs. The buns are normally soft and fresh. Good food for not too much.

Have been eating at James' Coney for 50+ years. They still make the Original Hot Dogs the same way they did on Walker Street. Always good and a great value.

I don't usually eat hot dogs, but went here to get one for a friend and was extremely disappointed. I can make much better hot dogs than this. The hot dog must have been boiled, not grilled, and really did not taste good to me.

I have been going to James for over 30 years. I have been to many of the locations. The dogs are never hot enough. Bread is stale. Chili is bland. The tots and Frito pies are good. And I like the frozen lemonade. It about 5 times the cost but the dog at Beck's is much tastier.

James Coney Island has been around in Houston since the 1920's. They started downtown on Walker and Main Streets and now have locations all over Houston. We always try to eat at local places and their many locations make it easy! I love the original Coney with easy onions, chili, shredded cheese and extra chili. They also have a variety... More
