first this is a tiny place and the tables do not turn. if the tables are filled try again later. the food is unbelievable. we have been many times and our only disappointments are when we arrive to find it closed.

Ingredients are so fresh. It is one of critical factors to be a good sushi restaurant. We are so pleased with the quality. We ordered a take out of deluxe and normal chirashi. It is not cheap but worth every penny. Will be back.

If you like traditional sushi this is most definitely the best place in Houston. The building looks super shady on the outside but when your large rolls emerge it is like a piece of heaven being imparted to you. They are open only a few hours per week which is irritating. The service is a bit unique as has been... More

I continue to return frequently to Sushi Miyagi. I have not found better Sushi in Houston and have now tried many things on the menu. The restaurant is small, so come early to get a seat. Run by a husband and wife team alone, they define a family owned, small business. Closed on Mondays. I have never been for dinner,... More

I had seen sushi miyagi on several best sushi lists, one of them on the national level, so even though it is quite off the beaten path my husband and I decided to take the drive on a day off. It was definitely worth it! They are open very odd hours on Friday, 3-7, so given the horrendous traffic of... More

Houston is full of high end glitzy Japanese restaurants but this place is a nice change of pace. It is run almost entirely by a husband and wife team. It is a small and quite restaurant and is a very relaxing place to have some basic but authentic sushi. The fish is high quality and they have many traditional Japanese... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel so went along. We were a bit worried about it when we pulled up as it looks pretty dodgy from the outside but as soon as you step inside your worries are gone. The place was pretty full for a weeknight dinner. The sushi was soooo good. The sake was also very... More

I'm no sushi expert, but I've tried enough different places to know this place is a cut above! Fantastic lunch special and very reasonable pricing.

My wife and I eat at Sushi Miyagi at least once a week. We are admitted sushi. /sashimi snobs, eating it around the world. Only Singapore and Japan can rival the taste and quality but at many times the price. Tried all other sushi houses in Houston but they are like overpriced amateurs. Mr. Miyagi travels to the fish market... More
