Not a spaghetti and meatball place. We had Tortellini Sugo Rosa, trout alla garfagna, pork butt and white beans, lemon tart, and appetizers of Halloumi cheese, lamb meat balls, and three excellent dips. Very helpful attentive service people in a clean modern unpretentious place.

Knew the owner Lynette from her previous restaurants in Houston...always authentic Italian food. Giacomos is in the new completely authentic Italian style combining small side plates...salads...main dishes...specials and one of a kind Tuscan delights never seen before in Houston menus. Great atmosphere...very popular but wait not long even at peak timed. If you like authentic Italian food...combined with extensive wine... More

The patio has a great vibe, and it is super dog friendly! They brought a bowl of water and a big plate of treats. Service was great, the food was timed to come out perfectly and the waiter was very attentive. Great value, my friend and I split two hot dishes and a main dish, each had a half glass... More

Since this was our first visit here, we asked the waiter for suggestions. I think our waiter's name was Ernesto. He was thrilled to offer suggestions and spent a lot of time explaining them. We started off with the scallop appetizer. It was great. For our entrees, we got and shared the linguine giacomo and the pollo guido. While chicken... More

My wife and I live nearby so we visit this place every couple of months. I forget how good it is. The minestrone soup and the scallop appetizer are two of the best dishes in Houston. The prices are reasonable and the wine prices are great. An exlectic selection and one can find an interesting and different wine here.

I am travelling a lot and usually in the united states the food (wherever it comes from) is adapted a lot to fit the US taste. Here you can get authentic Italian food in a nice atmosphere (they even have a patio) with excellent wines and a decent service. Loved it!

I had a business lunch here. The pasta selection was extensive. I opted for spaghetti alla carbonara, which was more creamy than I wanted but was quite flavorful. (In fairness, the menu does say that the egg and cheese will end up coating the pasta.) Reasonable prices, and attentive service.

We had a family reunion all week and decided to meet at Giacomo's. The staff was very pleasant and fun. We all ordered different items and not disappointed. I couldn't give you details since I am not a food critic. I have a feeling everything on the menu is fabulous. Love the décor and ambiance. Great food, family, and laughs.... More

Huge menu and tons of wonderful choices. I LOVE THIS PLACE and when asked where i wanted to go for my B-day lunch, i chose this place with out hesitation. Staff is friendly and the place is small and personal. I have not tried the wines (always go fat work) but if you wnat a glass, they have options. The... More
