I have been here a few times. Three or four times for their buffet during lunch time. This last visit I went a night. Their food is probably on the average side but good. I like the ambiance and the customer service here. The late...More

I had been here several years ago and I thought I enjoyed it then. I was split between trying Jake's Uptown and going here again, so I decided to stop in and give it another try. I think I made the wrong decision. The main...More

I had the lunch buffet and it was good. That broccoli rice casserole thing was delicious. My sister's grilled chicken sandwich was tasty. She liked it. Service is ok. Overall, it's alright.

The atmosphere is great but the food was terrible. We both had the lunch buffet and the salad was the only thing worth eating. The chicken was greasy, vegetables taste like they came right out of the can and the meat loaf was horrible. It...More

The atmosphere of the place is very unique, and there is close to a scene for everyone. Downstairs is standard seating and a bar. There is also live music and a small dance floor. On the second floor are multiple pool tables and additional seating....More

A group of us went out for drinks and live music. The band was pretty good, though the dance floor is rather small. The service was excellent

Chicken fried steak sandwich was big but bad. Onion rings were very good. The heavy smell of smoke and dirty ashtrays were not appetising. The device was OK but not real friendly..

We enjoyed a couple cold beers and some wings here. The bar manager was super friendly and knowledgable! Enjoyed our time here. Such a great atmosphere and old building that has been refurbished. The buffet looked good as well and was a great price. We...More

Loved the decor and theme of this old garage converted into a bar and grill. A good selection of local beer. The staff, however, was very cold and rude. I could tell they cater to their regulars and could care less about "outsiders". Sat at...More

Friend and I went to get dinner, there is NO host or a sign that says to seat yourself. Our waitress was HORRIBLE! I ordered an appetizer that took 35 minutes to get then when I did receive the fried mushrooms there were not cooked...More

Willhoite's is one of the most unique restaurants in Texas, but it is also one of the oldest and most historical buildings in Grapevine! Built in 1914, the building first served as a dry goods store and was used for a time as a theater. In 1919, it was transformed into the first automotive garage in Grapevine.

The name Willhoite's came from the name that Andrew Wiley Willhoite and Bart H. Starr used for their garage business, the first one-stop service station in the city with auto repair, battery re-building, tire sales and service, auto parts and accessories, and wrecker service.

Willhoite's garage was also the local dealer for Attwater-Kent batteries, radios and the Vulcan wind-driven battery charger, which made it possible for many families in outlying areas to have electricity in their homes.

In 1936, Ted Willhoite joined his father in the business and at that time, the first electric gasoline pump and hydraulic auto lift were installed. Ted Willhoite closed the garage and retired in 1975.
Where diners eat now may have been the wash rack, oil storage area, or beside the indoor kerosene pump, but the history of Willhoite's Garage is a part of Willhoite's Restaurant; a part that the owner has restored as authentically as possible.

Our Texas-sized buffet, delightful sandwiches and scrumptious appetizers are available now at Willhoite's instead of gasoline, oil and auto service, but the proud tradition of THE BEST is still the underlying priority of Willhoite's.

We hope you'll enjoy our Texas hospitality and come back to visit us often!
