This was my 2nd chance for boiled blue crab. DENIED!! That being said I had a back up plan and went with their version of cioppino / fisherman stew. I was pleasantly surprised, the broth was good, vegis were crisp and there was a lot of it. The rice was a welcomed addition putting a type of gumbo twist to it. I would personally have fried the calamari and the oysters and put them on the side to enjoy with the soup. They get lost in the stew and calamari boiled gets a little rubbery. The shrimp were HUGE and cooked well, i think I would have gone with a little spicer just wasn't sure their levels. One thing that would have elevated it is if you can choose your own fish with it. A big chunk of snapper or grouper instead of the catfish (the catfish was cooked well) is an upgrade I would pay for and adding the mussels in their shell. The soup has so many ways to upgrade and everyone loves options, the base was really good. The other dishes we had were blackened flounder with onion rings and hushpuppies. The fish was cooked well seasoning was spot on and those jalapeno hushpuppies were addictive. The calamari app. I could have passed on. it came with was seemed to be queso and cocktail sauce. They were cooked fine, just..... Something I wouldn't pass on... that KEY LIME PIE!!!! It came with an enormous amount of whipped cream (pretty sure its homemade) and this drizzle on it. After tasting the pie we understood the ratio was needed. I took a small bite of just the pie and it punches you right in the taste buds and puckers you up which is what a pie like that should do. Will visit this again if we every return to Galveston.

Went for dinner one Saturday it was very busy so the wait was around 20 minutes. The menu is a mix of both Greek and Cajun style food, so easy to please anyone in a group. My husband got the mix seafood platter and chose the blackened style and he got the spinach and red potatoes as side. The size of the shrimp and oysters were large and very fresh, the blackening season was good but overly salty. The hushpuppies have jalapeño in them, but they are good. I choose the seafood soup in mild. It still had a little kick to it, but it was very favorable with shrimp, oysters, crab, corn potatoes all mixed in. I enjoyed it, ate all the seafood and vegetable in the soup but unable to finish the broth, very large amount. Very clean restaurant with staff very friendly. Will go back

Cajun Greek is a great spot in Galveston for good service and a unique menu which combines gulf coast cooking with delicious Greek dishes. The gumbo is very good, not the best I have had, but very good. The menu is awesome. You can build your own platter with crawfish, boil crab, shrimp which you order by the pound. I had the fried shrimp which was great. Sometimes there is a wait, because the place is popular, but well worth it.

We ordered 3 lb live crabs (total six crabs) for $39.99. Those crabs taste frozen crabs, because the crab meat taste like cotton. And even one crab is bad, smell sticky, like rotten egg! I asked the waitress to smell it and he brought his manager. The manager agrees take the rest of the three crabs away and charged us $24.99. Obviously, the restraurant sells frozen sea food as live sea food. How can the restaurant have the best local seafood name! Even Red Lobster restaurant’s seafood tastes much much better than the Cajun Greek!

This was the first time my family and I (party of 5) went to the Greek Cajun - based on a friend’s prior recommendation last year. After our dining experience there, we would have to agree with several of the most recent reviewers of this place, who stated that it previously was an excellent restaurant, but now has deteriorated as far as food quality and price. Two of our main entrees, namely baked flounder and crabcakes, tasted fishy. The service was mediocre. And the food was definitely overpriced. I will not be returning, nor do I recommend it to anyone else.

We come to Galveston to camp 2-3 times a year and always looked forward to eating at the Cajun Greek but NEVER again. I think it must be under new management. It had been worth 5 stars but now it's a 2 star with 5 star prices. Food was just edible but the crab cake tasted like cornbread stuffing. There were not many customers there but service was SLOW and they were bussing the table but we still had not check. We had to chase the waitress down for it.

I’ve been eating here for years. The food is always good. However, the first thing I noticed was a new menu and then sticker shock! ie given on the kids menu a 6 to 8” pepperoni pizza 11.99! The large Greek salad was 17.99 and if you want to add chicken it’s an additional 10.00. Eight fried shrimp with onion rings and mashed potatoes was 34.99. I’m sorry, but at these prices it’s just not affordable for a family any longer.

I have eaten here 15 times over the years. I ordered 1 pound of peel and eat shrimp as a takeout. These were not jumbos which are 16-20 per pound. Received 11 shrimp, about half of a pound. They have jumbos on the menu that cost more. I called the manager who was unsympathetic. He said if I got 11, I got 1 extra because their usual order is 8-10 shrimp. This is a ripoff and I won’t be returning.

At times you will go here and be convinced it was spectacular. The service seems to be very consistent which is to say extremely cordial, patient and attentive. So, that's a huge plus for any business. The food can be so fresh, properly prepared, presented and above all, the flavors are world class. The result being that it is not inexpensive and when it's off, it's really off. So, there you have it. I do have to say that my experience is more excellent visits than not!

Cajun Greek was a recommendation from a friend and it most certainly did not disappoint. Starting with appetizers, We really enjoyed the tzatziki and pita, though if we had to do it again we may have added gyro meat to it. Without the meat, it was a light and very tasty appetizer. My wife went with the classic gyro. Having grown up in Chicago we had plenty of gyros in our day. This was likely the best we had in the state of Texas. I had the shrimp Mediterranean and loved it. Special mention to the hush puppies which were nice and crispy on the outside, a little doughy on the inside, and had just enough spice to make them interesting. Love them that night and love the next days leftovers. Very casual, diner-like atmosphere. If that's not your thing, look elsewhere but if you're cool with that, this place will work.

WOW! Food was amazing- Service was Top Notch. We had the Seafood Combo Platers. We both had Blackened and do not regret it at all. DELICIOUS! We started with appetizers of the Crab Cake and the Boudin & Gouda Cheese. Brittany was our server and did an amazing job. The rest of the wait staff was there to keep our drinks topped off, plates cleared and ask if they could get us anything else. Came highly recommend by the locals and they knew what they were talking about 👌🏼

I arrived here early enough for dinner such that I was able to be immediately seated without a reservation. I got the Crabbers Choice Seafood Soup: with blue crab, Gulf shrimp, catfish, calamari, oysters, corn, celery, carrots, potato. I ordered it medium spicy. Very tasty. So many flavors that blended together well. You can order this entrée with mild or medium spice, or even extra spicy. I had the Greek salad with it. Plenty of food. I washed it down with a Mexican beer.

We chose the Cajun Greek because the restaurant had good reviews and was near our hotel. We wanted fresh seafood since we were in Galveston. Overall the meal was good - not as good as we were hoping for. The service was ok - our waitress was sort of creepy as she just hung out a few steps from our table while we were reviewing the menu. She was also very awkward in her interactions with everyone.

We recently dined at the Cajun Greek and we were very pleased. We started with the Boudin w/smoked Gouda for our appetizer. Very good, served with Remoulade. The smoked cheese really added a nice touch. Our entrees were the Philly cheese steak sandwich, fried oyster po-boy, and the gumbo. All 3 were very good. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend. Would definitely dine here again.

I asked the waiter about the vegan burger, he claimed it was very good, but needed cheese to hold it together. I ordered it and came out, it looked beautiful, was covered in sauteed onions and made with blackbeans. I cut the burger in half and it fell apart right away. The entire burger was slimy and fell apart. Nothing held it together. It was bland and tasteless, I ate several more bites and could not finish it. I let the waiter know I did not like it. I told him I was not hungry enough to order something else and did not want a replacement. The chef/owner came out afterwards and accused me of eating 80% of the burger. And would not reimburse me for the burger. And if I didn't like it I should have let the waiter know at first bite! I told him I didn't ask for replacement or refund. I just wanted him to know it was not edible. They need to work on their recipe. I've looked at the reviews and there are others who are not happy with his vegan options. Overall, not impressed.
